I prefer REO Speedwagon, but I guess I would pick Journey since I saw them in concert in the early 1980s.

This is an unfair question: Two completely different styles of music and two semi-different fan bases. One band is hardcore rock 70's metal with a blues influence (AC DC), the other is AOR radio friendly rock/pop that started as a jazz fusion band (Journey)!
I love them both--but I can't compare the two.

Journey had some awesome power ballads performed by a guy with a great voice(Brian Perry)., but AC/DC has that beat
and those kicka** guitar licks with Angus Young and a potent, raspy voice in Brian Johnson, for me: AC/DC .

Is this even a question? Journey, of course. It might be overplayed at every bar in America, but who can honestly say they don't perk up a little when "Don't Stop Believing" starts to play?

AC/DC. I'm pretty sure Journey was a corporate rock band with its power ballads.
