I'm currently separated and I'm planning on a divorce..How has a divorce affected your child?

My grandfather doesn't have much longer to live and my grandmother is having a hard time. I find it difficult to be around her when she's depressed even though I love her. See, I'm vulnerable so it's hard to be around depressing people and things. But people say you should be there for your family when their loved one is dying but that'll be hard for me if she just gets depressed and talk about nothing but depressing things. That's all she talks about these days. I don't know if I should get her mind off her husband's illness by playing card games with her or what. Should I go see her, get her mind off things or just leave her alone for a while? I can't deal with grieving or seeing people who are depressed. Not that I'm unsympathetic but it's hard for me to be that way. I just feel very uncomfortable around people who talk about depressing things and who are really depressed. I got through depression myself and hate to be around it again.

I am from Brazil and people are very superstitious there. I have brought a few with me kinda difficult to quit. For example, I always cross my fingers when I see a black bird (like a crow), to prevent bad luck. What about you?

I found this using a google earth hack. It seems like some image stretching is present and im not sure what it means? Is it because satellite data isn't as clear over these areas in comparison to the rest of the world? Or is it just how the map comes together visually? Maybe some of you know the answer.

I am an atheist and therefore do not believe in anything supernatural...although may Christians, Muslims etc think that their god is real yet laugh at those who would believe in fairies etc. What makes their god any more real?

My son who works would like to train as a plumber but he can't afford the college course ,however a friend of mine son who has been convicted of a fraud and been punished ,lost his job because of this, has now been awarded a grant under some criminal rehabilitation act (which he does not have to pay back) to allow him to retrain as a plumber and this grant covers the full cost of the course.

why do people use the term female when the word they want to use is woman? do these people think it makes them sound sophisticated or do they really think that it is an appropriate application of the word? because it isn't. its disrespectful, tacky, classless, sounds ignorant and it is a misuse of the word.

I have sugar (less than or = to 1/2 cup), cinamon, Brown Sugar, Popcorn, Peanut Butter, Chocolate Syrup, Jelly strawberry, peanuts, flour (all purpose), rice, milk, water, eggs.

I DONT HAVE BUTTER!!

This is all I have but I want to make a cool dessert for my kids is there anything I can concoct with this stuff.

I'm looking for a faith. I've never been a religious person but I've been through a hard time recently and need maybe something I can believe in.

I was bought up in a Irish Catholic family but I find catholicism has been dirtied by people who want to use it for their individual beliefs and own advantage like most other religions.
