What is the etiquette on this issue? We have a pretty open business relationship and I think he would like to know, but then again should he know? If i don't end up taking that other job, will that hurt where I stand? OR will this be a good thing so that we can possibly negotiate some things that I am not happy with in my current job? Maybe I should interview first, and find out if I will even get the job, then talk to him....help!

She is running
A hundred miles an hour in the wrong direction
She is trying
But the canyon's ever widening
In the depths of her cold heart
So she sets out on another misadventure just to find
She's another two years older
And she's three more steps behind

Does anybody hear her? Can anybody see?
Or does anybody even know she's going down today
Under the shadow of our steeple
With all the lost and lonely people
Searching for the hope that's tucked away in you and me
Does anybody hear her? Can anybody see?

She is yearning
For shelter and affection
That she never found at home
She is searching
For a hero to ride in
To ride in and save the day
And in walks her prince charming
And he knows just what to say
Momentary lapse of reason
And she gives herself away

Does anybody hear her? Can anybody see?
Or does anybody even know she's going down today
Under the shadow of our steeple
With all the lost and lonely people
Searching for the hope that's tucked away in you and me
Does anybody hear her? Can anybody see?

If judgment looms under every steeple
If lofty glances from lofty people
Can't see past her scarlet letter
And we've never even met her

If judgment looms under every steeple
If lofty glances from lofty people
Can't see past her scarlet letter
And we've never even met her

Never even met her
Does anybody hear her? Does anybody see?
Or does anybody even knows she's going down today
Under the shadow of our steeple
With all the lost and lonely people
Searching for the hope that's tucked away in you and me

Does anybody hear her? Does anybody see?

Maher has decided to do a show on what he feels is religious "absurdity". He seriously intends to attack Jewish and Christian beliefs with a collection of jumbled notions that border on juvenile.

Maher intends to appeal to the ingnorant with silly claims. For example he says no one should subscribe to the Christian religion due to its teaching that homosexuals are doomed to Hell. In fact, Christianity does not teach that.

Added to that, he asserts Christianity teaches that God created cancer, child abusers, and evil. When in fact the Christian faith teaches the source of all evil is a result of the misuse of our own human freedom. It certainly does not teach in any way that evil is the will of God. However, Maher wants his audience to believe him.

What else is Maher lying about? I believe he would be truly embarrased if he really knew how absurd his fraudulous assertions appear to the trained theological community.

He gives no credit to the previous 2000 years of history

I am having one wisdom tooth pulled sometime in the next couple of weeks. It is an upper tooth. (I am 35 years old.)The tooth is not impacted. It is broken and has decay. I will be awake during the procedure, with just novocaine to numb the area. The oral surgeon and his assistant said I will not feel pain but I will feel up to about 20 pounds of pressure. This sounds extremely scary to me. Also, he gave me a prescription for Halcion, which he wants me to take before the extraction. I am also nervous about that, as I am very senstitive to medication, but he said all it will do is relax me and that it will also relax my jaw which will make it easier and faster for him to extract the tooth. I want it to be as easy and fast as possible so I am planning on taking the Halcion before my appointment. Has anyone had any experience? I am curious about reactions to Halcion and what to expect to feel when I take it, and about the pain and/or pressure I may feel during the extraction. Thanks!

the price of a $1.50 candy bar is to be increased by 20%.... what is the new price?

I know the answer but do not understand the steps of figuring it out... this is what I do understand multiply the price by 20% so $1.50x 20 over 100 but this is where I get lost... what do I do to get the answer of .30 and the outcome comes to $1.80 I am very serious... so please if you can explain to me this process I will have a better understanding for the accuplacer test I need to take.

If you could create a candy bar or candy of any sort (hard or soft) what would it be like? What main ingredients would it have? Would it be hard or soft candy? Would it be in layers or just ingredients mixed? What shape would it be in? What would you call it. (I asked this question once before but only got silly answers that did not take the question seriously.)

I'm planning to get a pet rat within the next month or so. I've had plenty of other pets, but never a rodent.

I have a fairly large, three-level rat cage. It's used, but has been washed and is in very good condition. I also have cedar for bedding.

I have two cats; one is 16 years old and very laid-back, the other is just under a year old, very curious and playful. She's been playing in the cage since I brought it home; very curious about the scents on it -- I can't smell it, but she obviously can!

I intend to get a young male rat. What can I expect, and what do I need to know? It's my understanding that rats are highly intelligent; are they trainable? Can they be taught to use a litter box, or anything similar? Do they need to be bathed, and how often? Should they be kept in the cage most of the time, or can they safely be allowed out for extended periods? (how do I rat-proof the room?)

Any advice from experienced owners would be great ;)

so... it's commonly accepted that NOTHING is faster than the speed of light (aside from theoretical stuff such as tachyons and spaceships). well what about the force of gravity?

if the sun all of a sudden just disappears, would earth be orbiting nothing until the force of gravity ends and it'd just fly tangent?

oh and also... just wondering. if luke skywalker fires a laser from his blaster on his MOVING speeder, would the laser (obviously flying at the speed of light) go any faster?? because from the added speed of the speeder?

This might seem a bit odd, but I have often wondered, with the almost identical nature of various recent and time-tested self-improvement materials out there, why haven't self-help authors, motivational speakers, or even Scientology sued one another to pieces over Intellectual property or copyright violations, et cetera? Does this mean anyone can all but mimick Joe Guru's latest / greatest book or technique without fear of legal repercussion?

I understand that it is commonly accepted knowledge that very few truly "novel" concepts emerge in personal development tools. The question is, with the exception of the recent lawsuit over "The Secret", why is it that such similar materials like self-help books do not violate some legal scenario?

Most thorough reply wins. Many thanks.
