Maher has decided to do a show on what he feels is religious "absurdity". He seriously intends to attack Jewish and Christian beliefs with a collection of jumbled notions that border on juvenile.

Maher intends to appeal to the ingnorant with silly claims. For example he says no one should subscribe to the Christian religion due to its teaching that homosexuals are doomed to Hell. In fact, Christianity does not teach that.

Added to that, he asserts Christianity teaches that God created cancer, child abusers, and evil. When in fact the Christian faith teaches the source of all evil is a result of the misuse of our own human freedom. It certainly does not teach in any way that evil is the will of God. However, Maher wants his audience to believe him.

What else is Maher lying about? I believe he would be truly embarrased if he really knew how absurd his fraudulous assertions appear to the trained theological community.

He gives no credit to the previous 2000 years of history

What qualifies you to give your opinion on Bill Maher's comedy?

Christianity as an ideal may not teach such extreme beliefs, but many, many Christians accept them as truth, teach them to their children, and espouse them to the world.

Perhaps Maher's comments will stir some debate about what some Christians stand for and what they OUGHT to stand for.

What makes you qualified to speak on Bill Maher, you've never read Henri Bergson's "On Laughter."

Egotism makes "experts' of the sneering and ignorant.

Isn't it better to do real research about a topic, think first and then talk?
Do you think Maher ever will get that order of things?
Pray for him.

I agree with you - Maher isn't much of a comic.
