My parents live next door to my aunt and uncle and pretty much most of my family. Well for years my relatives have been taking advantage of the govt..like asking for help when they know they are wrong. My uncle receives disability but he cuts grass for extra income. But they are pretty old and I know they are going thru some financial problems so I feel kinda bad and I don't want to report them cuz they are family what should I do? I know its wrong cuz those my are tax payers money supporting them.

My husband just started a new job at his firehouse as an EMT. He works with three girls. He is close to one of them, and considers her a good friend. I think they might have a friendly/playful relationship. Is it normal to have a close relationship with the opposite sex without having romantic feelings for that person?
My husband is a great guy/father. Not the cheating up. He says that he really likes her as a friend/and needs to build a close bond with her (they are medic partners). I guess I am still worried about it though.
Please serious answers only.

I saw some atheists criticising Dawkins because his arguments are almost parroted by some atheists. I'd like to make clear that parroting a reasonable argument is not wrong so long as you actually understand the argument.

The reason Dawkins is the most parroted is because he is, far and away, the most effective at systematically dismantling arguments for religion AND (here is the importrant part) offering actual explanations for the universe and putting our existence into context. This is where others fall short and Dawkins picks up the slack and why I find him more effective than Harris or Hitchens. I should say I read The Selfish Gene and The Blind Watchmaker before The God Delusion and I have been studying evoluton for some time but together those books offer a more complete explanation as to why religion need not exist, and why it does exist anyways, than anything I have seen from anyone else. I'm not suggesting we worship the man, I'm suggesting he is the best we have.

I'm not talking about textbooks, but science/math books of interest to the general reader with some knowledge of the subject (because of college level science/math education or because of pure interest in the subject) , it could also be biographies of scientists/mathematicians that touch on some of their theories, etc.

Just started reading Sylvia Nasar's "A Beautiful Mind" about John Nash. Don't know if its good, will know soon.
I just finished Antonio Damasio's "Looking for Spinoza" and thought it was very interesting, though I guess the theories might have already been discredited considering the book's been around for so many years... I remember reading all of Carl Sagan's books when I was a kid and thought I wanted to do astronomy in future, and recently am rekindling that love for reading some of these math/science books again. But I don't really like reading the hard stuff unless its for exams.

Ok, so at times when a person has approached you specifically to share their faith with you - like a JW, or a Mormon missionary or whatever - and you said "Thanks, but no thanks" (nothing rude, but just a polite statement letting them no that you were not interested), what was their response?

I've been told "There will be more "friction". (with a circumcised) The entire length of the circumcised penis will move across your genitals whereas the uncircumcised penis will "glide" in an out under the foreskin." Is this true or how does it feel different, and which feels better?

My husband met some of his siblings (father's side) and his father 5 years ago, I found them. In the last year the oldest of the siblings has become really close to my husband and some accusations have come out. Calling each other all day for months, talking ugly about me, inappropriate speaking to each other etc.(caught them on tape, no sex mentioned, but talked like lovers or they were in love) After I accused them of an affair (of course they denied it), he would not speak to me for 5 months and was moving out. We are trying to reconcile now (since April) but he has changed. It is like the passion and desire he had for me (which began to chang when he was talking/hanging around her alot) is gone. He does not call me (called 3 times a day for 11 years) he calls her everyday now. I feel bad if they are innocent, but they were a littel too close. Others saw it as well, but never mentioned it. The fact that he is calling her everyday still eats at me, how do I get past it, for me?
