We moved out 26th June this year and up until now, our landlord still hasn't returned us the money.
Thing is we sent him notice of termination of tenancy way back in June (we were on a 1-year tenancy agreement and we stayed until the 26th June when the tenancy ran out). We were good tenants, left the unfurnished flat in pristine condition and cleaner than when we moved in, and we always paid our rent on time. So we called him up at the end of July to chase up on the deposit return and he sounded real friendly on the phone and said he was truly very busy, will do it a.s.a.p. etc.
Now a month after the call and 2 months after we moved out, still no sign of the money. Is he taking the p*ss??
He is a lawyer by the way, works in an established law firm which deals with many things, including commercial property law, so we think he probably knows his way around the law and probably isn't doing anything illegal by taking so long to return the deposit. Should we wait any longer for the ££?

My wife and I was trying to apply for a mortgage loan and the mortgage company said that she did'nt have a credit score. She don't have any debt or anything. Her credit history is clean. How does she go about getting a credit score as soon as possible and how many forms of credit should she apply for?

why is it that SOME Christians spend more time preaching against other faiths instead of practicing their own? on this site, anyways. i see some people who claim to be a follower of Christ who do nothing but bad-mouth those who don't agree with them.

also, have you had any personal experiences like this? perhaps when you went to church one time, and the minister/preacher spent more time talking about what was "wrong" about other churches?

I want the inside of my mustang to be blue, but all the factory lights are green. I asked my dad if I could just take the gauge pod out and change the bulbs to blue and he said he didn't know and I'm not going through the trouble of taking it out to find out =). How does one ask forgiveness or make amends with a family that has been abusive or hurtful? What if the abusive family cuts you off (has nothing to do with you) because you reported someone to social services for child abuse? I got something in the mail from them yesterday. Apparently for $1 a month, you have access to their website, can test motorcycle gear and keep it after filling out a report on it, win prizes, get a magazine, get gas rebates, discounts on tools, parts and services, preview books and dvds, etc.

My antenna are humming with suspicion - where's the catch? Does anyone out here belong to this? Is it as good as it sounds or do they bite you in the *** somewhere along the line?
