In our day and age, basically anyone with a computer and an internet connection can set up a website pretty much free (Not including paying for your internet.) Although this is convenient it means that there is a lot of stuff on the internet. I wouldn't say the internet is "Overloaded", although i would complain about the amount of Spyware, Viruses, Advertisement etc. out there. The internet is only going to keep getting bigger, and it is connecting our world with the click of a button. I doubt any other method of communication is being developed (Other than mobile phones.) or even will be developed anytime soon. Whether we like the internet or not, we are only going to become more Dependant on it as time passes. The internet really isn't that old when we think about it, and I have no doubt its going to be around for a lot longer yet.

Yes and No. You can count on it, there is always a new communication method being developed. Every day, all day.

However, this is the discussion amongst advocates of the new IPV6 (as opposed to IPV4) addressing protocol. It's supposed that with IPV4 we'll eventually run out of IP addresses given the ubiquity of computers. IPV6 extends the number of addreses that can be created by, like, a trillion.
