I'm studying an university preparation program (mature-age) at UNSW. The program has 2parts:
(1) Study Skills: practise essay writing, a lot of history
(2) Philosophy study

I have problem in English reading and writing. I told my tutor about that (I think that I shouldnt tell) and he and the co-ordonator recommand me to withdraw the course, they think that I will not be able to complete the course sucessfully cos academic english is required and I dont have! So its hardly to pass the course...

The choice is mine, but I'm not sure! My interest is design and hate history...The course is just started 4 wks and end in Dec. Should I try it, see how its go OR withdraw it?
I really dont know wt to do if I withdraw it...All the courses r already started! PLUS there has family pressure...they expect me I will do well! How can I tell them about this?

I'm 21 this yr n I have no more time to waste! I need advice!!!

What's easier? Getting into say, Columbia University as a HS senior, or transferring into it after 2 years of a state university like Virginia Tech?

Im about to go to college in a day (Thursday), and Im really worried about it. From being on the campus all Ive seen are beautiful people frolicking. I feel as if I won't be able to make friends and enjoy it, as I am not really as hot as these people. Plus Im barely packed and jsut not ready. How can I get over this. What should I do.

I am looking for the pet shop across the street from the Inland Center Mall, San Bernardino California. I know it MIGHT be on E street but otherwise I don't know much. okay so here's the story I came to visit my sister for 2 weeks and she happens to work basically for like 3 pm to 10 pm without breaks. between 3 and 10 she "relaxes" and basically does nothing with me and after 10 her bf comes over and ALWAYS sleeps over and i try to act cool and just ignore it but i just feel like a 3rd wheel SOOOO much. and its really pissing me off that when i got up and just left to another room to be alone and go online and chill because i feel more comfortable then u know being around 2 people who are cuddling and talking and i'm not even in the conversation i'm just "there" and so she comes in all with this "wtf" look on her face and she's like why'd u leave whats wrong and i decided it was right for me to come out and say it so i go " i dont like feeling like a 3rd wheel all the time" and she's like r u serious omg w.e bye. and walks out now WHY does she always ignore my feelings, i'm so pissed off right now and i have a good reason to feel that way.

When I turn on my computer it goes through the load screens and passes the welcome screen but the OS never opens...it goes to a screen where it just displays my desktop wallpaper with no start menu (task manager opens with ctrl/alt/delete, that's about it). I tried booting up in safe mode to fire up system restore or fix the problem manually but I have the same problem in safe mode...no start menu or applications ever boot up.

Is there a way to open system restore from the boot menu or any other ways to fix this problem without formatting my hard drive?
