I only ask because the company picnic is coming up. I think if I have an event to keep their interest they woun't be running off into the woods and doing the same thing that happened last year. Almost 9 months later a good part of my staff was out on maternity leave.

I know I can graph circles using the standard equation when the circle equation is simple like x²+y²=1,where the center is at (0,0), and I put √(1-x²) and -√(1-x²) into the calculator,

but once the equation gets complicated with the center somewhere else besides the origin, I don't know how to write it into the equation.

For example: (x-2)²+(y+1)²=1, I know how to graph manually with center at (2,1), but how do I graph this on a scientific calculator?

I know I have to get "y" by itself by subtracting (x-2)², but do I take the square root then subtract the one or vice versa?

I know this is a bit long, but any help is appreciated. Thanks.

i'm a 44 year old divorced, school teacher. i have known this particular 19 years-old gal since she was 17. i have done everything possible to be in her good books like providing her with pocket money, as well as fetching and sending her back to her college which is many hundred miles away from where her folks and i live. earlier her family coaxed me into an engagement with her which i accepted though i wasnt financially stable yet (my divorce settlement squeezed every last penny out of my pocket). the wedding was planned for next year. 3 mnths after the engagement, the gal asked 4 d engagement to be broken off. for ur info, i am more embarassed than angry coz at such a matured age, i could not see the game she was playing. her parents have dared to say a word about it. i am wondering, why they asked me to propose and get engaged with the gal in the 1st place without making sure she was ready for it?

While visiting Buffalo, NY, I found myself (along with my son and nephew) walking across an old, metal bridge that didn't look too stable. You could look down and see the rapids. It was pretty scary. I can't believe I did that!! Got to the Canadian side. Of course, I was in my 30s at the time.

Your time on earth is not the complete story of life. You must wait until heaven for the rest of the chapters.

Where does your spirit go when you die, out there somewhere above the clouds, pass the moon and stars. Heaven, paradise, more stunningly beautiful than our earthly minds can imagine.
whether reincarnation, or heaven, our spirits and soul lives on never ending. Unless perhaps in hell time is the opposite, and eventually your spirit is snuff out. The Bible does say for eternity.
Measured against eternity, our time on earth is just a blink of an eye, but the consequences of it will last forever. The deeds of this life are the destiny of the next.

All is welcome to share your thoughts, views and perspctives?

A friend of mine was in a car accident. She had two broken ribs and a collapsed lung. The doctors did a series of tests. At the end one of them said, "You're doing great. We just have one more test." He inserted his finger in her rectum. I don't think that it was anything but standard procedure, but why? What was he checking for?

I've told my son I wish he would wait until after college to get married & that I think he's moving too fast, but no matter what I tell him he's not going to call off the engagement...he's already asked her to marry him!! So the other day he asked me to make some calls for him pertaining to the engagement ring & I did, but my husband keeps telling me "Don't feed into it," "Don't encourage it," "You better have another talk with him." Don't I have the right to enjoy it since it's my first child to get married whether it's right or wrong? What are your opinions?

Recently I attempted to remove the rust from my Nissan Sentra Classic 1993 vehicle with the following process:

x 120 Grit Sander
x RustCheck Rust Converter
x Mineral Spirits
x Rubbing Alcohol to clean away remaining dust
x Tremclad Primer 1L (Grey - Inhibits rust for Iron & Steel)
x Duplicolor Auto Spray

After the above process, i now see scaling on the overall job, as if the paint is being lifted. What did i do wrong?

Your recomendation on redoing this job would be appreciated.

Thanks

I'm sorry, but I used to believe that mumbo jumbo and no matter how much faith a person has, it's not going to cure a mood, anxiety or psychotic disorder.

Of course, nearly all religions can help people better cope with their issues. That's not faith though, that's science, but what's with the "Oh no, don't trust in medicine or psychologists, trust in god." talk? How scary! Besides, working on the premise that there is a god who created everything, didn't he create the possibility for psychiatric drugs that work?

"Don't get chemotherapy for your testicular cancer, get a bible!" Frankly, that kind of advice is dangerous and people like this should be banned.

Any thoughts on that one?
