I am not able to think the concept of half empty or half full, I know that is suppose to demonstrate whether a person is possitive or negative in they way the view the cup, drats it's half empty, or I'm glad it is half full
my thinking is abstract to the point, that even if I were to get 100 messages in a row, (your have the best answer) it is just a footnote that someone approved what I wrote, no reason to celebrate, as I often think others give better answers.)
The glass would be 50%, that limits the amount you can drink unless you have the ability to refill, it also tells you what you have taken in if you are working and using it to keep hydrated in the heat.
I have heard this question since I was a kid and just don't understand why some are negative in the answer and some are positive in the response.
It is what it is, parallax not withstanding

Up until maybe just a few months ago, if you had asked me this I would have said it's half full. However, as of this moment in my life, I'd have to say the cup is basically empty.
Now, I'm not trying to wax poetic, or anything of the sort, it's just kinda "bad" in a fatal kind of way. No job, three kids to feed and house, & seperated from my wife due to her infidelity (listed in reverse order of occurrence). But I'm not worrying about it ... in fact, I know it will eventually get better ... so I can refill my cup then. Cheers!

This is my second attempt, the first one sounded dirty.
Without mentioning anything about cups or fullness, I will just say that my life is probably 80 - 20, or 90 - 10, depending on the day and so forth. Way better than 50 -50.

Half empty! People just dont understand it! You drank half the water so that water is in your stomache therefore it is not in the water bottle anymore. That part of the water is empty from the bottle.

Okay. I'll confess.
So first I got a cup. Just any ordinary plastic cup.
And then I got a bottle of water.
And then I filled my plastic cup halfway. So my cup was half full.
And then... I drank half of the water. So my cup was half empty. But there was only one-fourth of water in it. Strange...
Okay, I confessed!! Finally!! POLICE, are you SATISFIED????
