Are they just missing the whole grace/redemption theme that permeates the entire New Testament? How do they interpret the Sermon on the Mount? The "monsters" and "animals" that are put on death row- do people who profess to be Christians genuinely believe that Jesus wants us to cut them down? Doesn't it mean anything to these people that St. Paul, the single most prolific and influential writer of the Christian Bible, was a redeemed murderer himself? Would he ideally have been killed before his conversion? If the Christian God is savvy at all, doesn't it seem likely that he specifically chose such an "evil" character to become his most powerful and eloquent promoter for a good reason? Or would God have us finally dispense with the Pauline letters altogether, hunker down, and memorize the gospels of O'Reilly, Limbaugh, and Hannity?

Would Jesus consider anyone beneath the opportunity for redemption?

Hi...
I have a new freshwater tank (I put it together 10 days ago) . I have a guppy and a Molly that I put in one week ago. I keep testing the water and as predicted, the amonia spiked yesterday and I read that was normal. My Molly is fine but my poor guppy is showing these symptoms:
Appetite dwindled , belly looks bigger, feces trails attached, and he swims at the top of the tank. He looks a little off balance. It's not good! Last night I changed 20 percent of the water, hoping it would help. I don't want to hurt the Molly in the process.
What can I do?!!! Thanks in advance!!!

I just signed a lease for an apartment and I love it. My only major problem is this HIDEOUS seafoam green/50's diner mint green wall. It looks a lot like this color: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tea_green. 3 walls have wood paneling (medium/light brown). They currently have a darker green area rug in the room, which I can store if I don't like. There is also a smaller room painted in this color.
I begged to paint the walls white and they said no. Unfortunately, I have to leave the walls this color...what in the WORLD can I do to make this room look cool, fun, but not tacky? I can't go too modern, since the kitchen right off the room is decorated in a country style (wooden cabinets, wallpaper with sunflowers and crows, etc).

Any ideas for something fun, comfortable, and not too horribly kitschy? Thanks!

if you say YES : if you saw a small child of another race wandering around in a mall alone, would you stop and look for the parents or atleast let someone else know?

if you say NO : if you were getting on a bus/ plane and you noticed that all of the seats around you were all filled by ppl of another race would you change seats?

Months ago, i found out that my cousin and my husband had an affair, it hurts me a lot but i need to stay with my husband for the sake of my kids. i usually put music in my sterio get into my pajemas [mcr pajamas!]
grab a bag of chips a bottle of coke my sterio remote and my t.v. remote and sit in bed and watch tv wile listening to music and eating...it makes me relaxed no-ing i dont have to get up..i have all that i need right there...ahhh...

I just answered a question asking why is Satan blamed for every thing that goes bad- and I answered Satan entices us however it is our own fault when we fall into sin. I really don't care that I get thumbs down- however it never ceases to amaze me that the word sin, gets people "riled" up- could that possibly be that people do not want to admit that they sin? My husband moved away from all of his family to another state to be with me & our child (I am also pregnant). We had marital problems including past abuse (over 1 year ago), & extreme amounts of cheating on his part. He promised me the world & was doing very well this last week. He found employment quickly, & has been very supportive toward me & our child. However, Saturday night he backslid. He was feeling antsy, & agitated. He left the house & went to a strip club. When he came home at 330 I saw video on his phone of him going out to eat with three girls he had met (they weren't doing anything but eating) & also several video clips from the strippers in the club. He promised me that he would never cheat on me again & that is why we got back together. I cannot just pack up my things & leave him because as I said he has a history of violence & although he has not harmed me in anyway in well over a year it is not easy to just up & leave. Am I overreacting I really need advice.

Why do some power plugs, mainly older ones, have a big huge box plug at the end instead of a normal, small plug? Is there a reason for this, or no? I am just wondering as to why they are like that.

To assume that it must be supernatural in origin just because you don't understand it or the reason has not yet been discovered?

Think about it.
If a man from five or six hundred years ago were to discover a modern-day automobile, chances are that he would assume it to be either magic or somehow demonic because he couldn't figure it out.

Isn't that the same kind of thinking that some Christians are doing today? Just because Science has not yet discovered the answers does not make it supernatural.

Do you get annoyed or frustrated when a theist on R&S asks a deeply complex science question that the greatest minds in the world haven't answered yet (ie: how did atoms come to exist?) and then expects a bunch of people on a message board with hardly any science background to answer it? And then they often belittle us when we're incapable of it?

To me, its like asking them to explain every part of their religion, even the parts that religious scholars don't fully understand yet?
