because the type of love you have for a piece of machinery is like the love you have for a woman (girlfriend or daughter), try it, imagine the things guys say to their machines being said to their guy friends, doesnt work.
It only works for the machines you are emotionally bonded to, machinery that you are not bonded to (that is used for its power or function only) is referred to as male
