2) -3*sqrt(2) + 2*sqrt(2) = -1*sqrt(2)
3) 2*sqrt(7) + 3*sqrt(7) + sqrt(7) = 6*sqrt(7)
4) sqrt(x) = 9
x = 9^2
x = 81

You can combine like terms with square roots just like you would with variables. So for 1) through 3), you would use the following approach:

1) 2*sqrt(5) + 2*sqrt(5) = (2 + 2)*sqrt(5) = 4*sqrt(5)

For 4), you just square both sides of the equation to get x = 81, the answer.
