Ive been in a job where ive been working with the public for about 6yrs at this stage and ive come to the conclusion that most people have no awareness of themselves or the people around them. They say and act in a rude and ignorant manner to those around them. Seemingly without any knowledge or awareness of the offensive way they behave. Ive learned at this stage to not take it personally when a customer is being rude because like I said, I dont think they even realise what theyre doing.
What has been your experience of people, do you think they lack awareness and are off on another planet? thanks

I'm thinking of my family and what I would expect of them if I contracted alzheimer's. Do I expect them to nurse me personally? Take time off work, do all the feeding, cleaning, medicating, everything? Or should I tell them that I want to go to a nursing home? That would be less burdensome to them.

My real question is, when I don't recognize my family anymore, do I expect them to continue caring for me or visiting me in a nursing home?

I read a post yesterday about a guy who explained that he is staying married solely for the sake of his children. This was so disheartening to me. Are there people out there who are happily married after 5, 10+ years of marriage or is everyone out there miserable? I am getting married in a month and would like encouraging and hopeful stories as this mans post really got me down.

A question was asked about how Muslims should feel about their lands being invaded by Christian armies. I can't let that one pass. Don't forget who invaded who: The Roman Empire was Christian after the 4th century, and the people in its former lands were Christian. It was the Muslims who swept through those lands after the 7th century. Muslims swept up from the east through modern day Turkey, and up through the west, through Spain. They would have crushed Christiandom entirely were it not for the pope and the knights he was able to rally to defend Europe, and push them back. Even then, they never got pushed back all they way, which is why Constantinople is now Istanbul. Comments anyone?

Yesterday on our local news , they reported that a small plane had flown low over a SE Michigan neighborhood and deposited a white powder over everything . Our local news people are weak at best so the story was very incomplete , but they did have footage of the neighborhood and it was quite clear that a large amount of somewhat chunky white powder was all over everything. The story concluded by saying 'authorities' took samples and will get back to people when they know what it is . Now our local news people aren't generally all that smart nor INQUISITIVE. . Hel-lo. . .They're in the business of asking questions !! Anyways , none of them asked 'What authorities'? Or if the pilot was caught ? Who he was ? What his explanation was ? (assuming it was accidental you'd think the pilot would be more than ready to explain immediately)

Does anyone have a link to the story ? Something more reliable than our 7th grade level reporters out here ?

If, as many appear to think, the Bible is the actual word of your god and your god is perfect.... why are there so many opposing translations? Why does it say one thing at one point, and the exact opposite at another? What has, throughout history, been the source of more confusion than this book? According to this referrence, noone has ever seen your god, except that it also states that he walked with Adam and Eve, and had dinner with Abraham. I've read the entire Bible on more than one occasion. There is so much confusion contained therein, that what should have been one religion, has split into three major religions, with thousands of seperate denominations. If your god created all, as your beliefs dictate, then your god is indeed the author of ALL confusion. How do reconcile this with the fact that, according to your beliefs, your god is all loving and just? Please try to explain this in a way that makes some kind of sense.
