My husband drives truck for a living and is almost always on the road. Our anniversary is coming up, and he's really worried that he may not make it home in time. The thing is, I know he's trying like heck to get here in time, but there's a chance things just might not work out. I really don't want him to stress so much about it anymore than he's going to - meaning, I don't want him to worry about my reactions if he can't make it.

All that being said... what can I say to let him know I won't get angry if he can't make it? I tried telling him that already, but I got the impression that he thought I was "doing the girl thing" (act happy on the outside, pouting on the inside). I'm just happy knowing he's trying, you know? I don't know how to word it to make sure he knows I'm sincere. Any suggestions?

Do you agree with Henry David Thoreau? " I would rather sit on a pumpking and have it all to myself, that be crowded on a velvet cushion.? I just got back with my family from camping for five days at a KOA. The accomodations were great, but there were people everywhere. When I backpack it is far more primitive, but I have my spot all to myself.

I know I'm probably "throwing the fat into the fire", but I'd like to know what you think of my responses, and the responses of other LDS, to your concerns about Mormonism.

If you don't feel like writing a short essay, here is some multiple choice:

a) boring, same old thing I've heard a million times
b) quirky, humanistic, but still slavishly LDS
c) your words sometimes make me thoughtful
d) why aren't you already translated?

Just kidding. How does your mind tick over when active LDS give you responses? Do you ever find their responses inspire you with any reason/feeling to accept The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints as a sincere, valid religious choice?

The following induction "justification" that all sheep in a flock are the same color is wrong. I have to state what makes it wrong.

Base case:
One sheep, It is clearly the same color as itself

Induction step:
A flock of n sheep. Take a sheep, a, out of the flock. The remaning n-1 are all the same color by induction. Now put sheep a back in the flock, and take out a different sheep, b. By induction, the n-1 sheep are all the same color. Therefore, a is the same color as all the other sheep; hence all the sheep in the flock are the same color.

I have two ideas which i am working with

The base case states that only one sheep by itself is the same color. I can take a group of sheep and separate them. They can be all the different color, but by the base case they are considered the same.

In the induction step there is no comparison amoung the sheep. In order to tell if they are the same there should be a comparsion between them.

Still thinking about it. Any ideas?

The probability density function of X, the lifetime of a certain type of device (measured in months), is given by

f(x) = 0 if x < 22
f(x) = 22/ x^2 if x > 22

P(X > 45) = 22/45

The cumulative distribution function of X:
F(x) = 0 if x < 22
F(x) = ? if x > 22

(1 is not the correct answer).

I am at a dire need of advice or anything PLEASE. My girlfriend and I have been going out for 4 almost 5 months, and all in all we love eachother very much, , It was at the theatre's were everything seemed fine, all it took was a small talk about her moving, and how she was still going to visit, so as it would be natural for me,..I got kinda surprised, and before we both knew it the date was over and our parent's were coming for us. Keep in mind im 17 she's 14.

Ok. But that's not the problem that Im having or had...
It's when she left she called me and asked if I was mad over the little arguement..and I was like no...not at all. Then her phone hanged up. So I got curious, and texted her saying "uh...did you just break up with me?"
I just couldn't help it, but the mistake that had happened was that her mother NOW had the phone in her possesion...oops!
her mom replied with "she's not allowed to date" so later she was forced to break up =[..my chest hurts alot right now should I wait?

I am a stay at home mom w/ PT jobs. My husband works a 40hour work week.but I do EVERYTHING I mow, weedeat, cook, clean, laundry, budget, grocery shop, take care of the 6 pets, get luches ready, work, pay the bills...ect(I think you get the point). All he does is work and watch our son for maybe 4 hours at a time. So can you explajin to me why I am still waiting for my gym membership, my pedicure, my manicure, my massage, and my break. He made these plans before he ever talked to be so I had to go ask my family for money to pay bills since my husband already gave the money to his brother so they clould go rent a car, drive to dallas texas, stay at a hotel and go to six flags for 2 days. He never even invited me. I don't think he deserves it. YOu know he never once thought where the money is going to come from for day care. Or how I was going to work.(there is more to the story but no more room) Am i just jealous or do I have a good reson to feel unappreciated and forgotton?

Find the equation y = ax^2 +bx +c whose graph contains the points (1, -1) (3, -1) (-2, 14)

you have to solve using the system of linear equation stuff, so I did:

-1 = a(1)^2 + b(1) +c
-1 = a(3)^2 + b(3) +c
14 = a(-2)^2 + b(-2) +c

and got the system:
a+b+c = -1
9a+3b+c = -1
4a-2b+c = 14

so I went through and solved:
first with lines 1 and 2:
-9a-9b-9c = 9
9a +3b+c=-1 and got -6b-8c=8 . . . plugged back into system

a+b+c = -1
-6b-8c=8
4a-2b+c = 14 then took lines 1 and 3 did the same:

-4a-4b-4c = 4
4a-2b+c=14 and got -6b-3c=18 plugged back into system:

a+b+c = -1
-6b-8c=8
-6b-3c=18 then took lines 2 and 3 did the same:

and got c = -3, pluged that back into a different equation and got b = 13/3 and plugged both into first equation and got a = -1/3

now did I do this correctly???

please let me know!! thanks!!
