My husband drives truck for a living and is almost always on the road. Our anniversary is coming up, and he's really worried that he may not make it home in time. The thing is, I know he's trying like heck to get here in time, but there's a chance things just might not work out. I really don't want him to stress so much about it anymore than he's going to - meaning, I don't want him to worry about my reactions if he can't make it.

All that being said... what can I say to let him know I won't get angry if he can't make it? I tried telling him that already, but I got the impression that he thought I was "doing the girl thing" (act happy on the outside, pouting on the inside). I'm just happy knowing he's trying, you know? I don't know how to word it to make sure he knows I'm sincere. Any suggestions?

i would say, babe i am glad our anniversary means as much to you as to me

but i don't want you rushing and risking getting hurt on the road, i wouldn't be able to handle that

when you make it home, we will spend that night celebrating our anniversary. i love you

stay safe, see you when u get home

Well, if you already told him that you didn't mind him not being able to make it home in time, and you didn't make him feel guilty about it, there is nothing else you can do. -He is entitled to his own feelings and it may be just that he really feels that it is important to be at home with you.
On your anniversary, you can call him on his cell phone to tell him that you love him so much and that you understand, but that when he gets home, he can handle up on his business. (if you know what I mean? hehehe
There is nothing wrong with calling your honey and making him blush!
When he returns home, let him know again how much you love him and enjoy his company before he has to leave again. It's all about body language... if you are distant, short with your words, he will know other wise. If you are happy go lucky and missing him, he will honestly know that you are understanding. -Hope this helps.

Tell him that you can celebrate the day he gets home. Tell him tht you love him, and that all you really want for him to do is make sure he calls you and gives you the opportunity to let him know how much he means to you.

Call him on your anniversary and tell him you planned something special for when he returns. After all, it's not so much the date that's important, it's that you love each other & are happy with your lives together.

maybe you should tell him its not so big a deal to celebrate a day or two late....love is love...you love eachother everyday, so why worry about making one day good when you can make every day special just by knowing you care for and love eachother
