I mean I realize that they've improved on them somewhat with the fruit flavored versions and so forth, but when you get right down to it, most of them still have that sour chalkiness and are rather gritty in nature. Do you think they'll ever do any better than this? I'm beginning to wonder...

This is a statement that was read over the PA system at the football game at Roane County High School, Kingston, Tennessee by school Principal Jody McLoud, on September 1, 2000. I thought it was worth sharing with the world, and hope you will forward it to all your friends. It clearly shows just how far this country has gone in the wrong direction.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

It has always been the custom at Roane County High School football games to say a prayer and play the National Anthem to honor God and Country.
Due to a recent ruling by the Supreme Court, I am told that saying a prayer is a violation of Federal Case Law.

As I understand the law at this time, I can use this public facility to approve of sexual perversion and call it an alternate lifestyle, and if someone is offended, that's OK.

I can use it to condone sexual promiscuity by dispensing condoms and calling it safe sex. If someone is offended, that's OK.

I can even use this public facility to present the merits of killing an unborn baby as a viable means of birth control. If someone is offended, it’s no problem.

I can designate a school day as earth day and involve students in activities to religiously worship and praise the goddess, mother earth, and call it ecology.

I can use literature, videos and presentations in the classroom that depict people with strong, traditional, Christian convictions as simple minded and ignorant and call it enlightenment.

However, if anyone uses this facility to honor God and ask Him to bless this event with safety and good sportsmanship, Federal Case Law is violated.

This appears to be inconsistent at best, and at worst, diabolical.

Apparently, we are to be tolerant of everything and anyone except God and His Commandments.

Nevertheless, as a school principal, I frequently ask staff and students to abide by rules that they do not necessarily agree. For me to do otherwise would be inconsistent at best, and at worst, hypocritical. I suffer from that affliction enough unintentionally. I certainly do not need to add an intentional transgression.

For this reason, I shall render unto Caesar that which is Caesar's and refrain from praying at this time. However, if you feel inspired to honor, praise and thank God, and ask Him in the name of Jesus to bless this event, please feel free to do so. As far as I know, that's not against the law — yet.

AND . . . one by one, the people in the stands bowed their heads, held hands with one another, and began to pray. They prayed in the stands. They prayed in the team huddles. They pray at the concession stand. And they prayed in the announcer's box. The only place they didn't pray was in the Supreme Court of the United State's of America - the seat of "justice" in the one nation under God.
Somehow, Kingston, Tennessee, remembered what so many have forgotten . . . we are given the Freedom OF Religion, not the Freedom FROM Religion.

Praise God that His remnant remains!

Your desire or your conscience? Like if, lets say...you were addicted to cigars, would your conscience win, if you told yourself, it can kill you if you continue? but your desire is there for it.

Well, I only have one cavity, but it's very large. It doesn't hurt me, but there have been a few times when a tooth brush bristle found its way in and gave me a little shock. My dentist told me that a root canal is a possibility at this point. My mother knows a trusted endodontist that will perform the procedure, but what should I be expecting, what should I do to prepare, what helps with the pain?

Thanks in advance!

I'd like to know what they check for in the physical exam, since I am considering enlistment. There are two major things I'm concerned about, and two more that I'm not so concerned about.

I received surgery for crossed eyes when I was nine years old. I don't have as many problems now, and my vision is correctible to 20/20 with a special prescription lens.

I also have eczema on my left leg and the back of my neck that I've been keeping under control.

There's also my two chipped front teeth and a 1.5-inch scar on my forehead, both from childhood injuries. I don't have any difficulties, but they'll definitely see that.

Otherwise, I'm fine. I'm of average weight for my height, have no serious health problems and have good physical and mental strength and endurance.

I didn't know this until a few minutes ago: every HOH gets to write a page in the HOH Diary, and we get to read it. Here is a link: http://www.cbs.com/primetime/bigbrother8/show/wk04/diary.shtml

How can you not like Dick? Especially after reading his diary.

Our modern science textbooks still teach our children that matter began as "simple cells" and evolved into more complex cellular structures. With the advent of microbiology, we now know that there is no such thing as a simple cell. Scientist Michael Denton puts it this way, "Although the tiniest bacterial cells are incredibly small, each is in effect a veritable micro-miniaturized factory containing thousands of exquisitely designed pieces of intricate molecular machinery, made up of 100,000,000,000 atoms, far more complicated than any machine built by man and absolutely without parallel in the nonliving world." This 'simple cell' turns out to be a miniaturized city of unparalleled complexity and adaptive design, including automated assembly plants and processing units featuring robot machines (protein molecules with as many as 3,000 atoms each in three-dimensional configurations) manufacturing hundreds of thousands of specific types of products. all by chance? All without a designer?

Then why did it take a Democratically-controlled congress to pass legislation to intensify anti-terror efforts in the U.S containing many recommendations of the 9/11 Commission? Recommendations that were made 3 years ago?!?

Okay, as most know I am openly lesbian. I've NEVER had a girlfriend who was in any way willing to introduce me to their family, or include me in ANY family event. Example: For the last 5 years of my last relationship, I spent every singled Christmas holiday alone. I was not allowed to spend it with my 'girlfriend'. She left me at home and spent the day with her parents & siblings. She's not the only one to do that! Every single girl I've ever dated does that. Why?
I really don't see how I could be an embarassment. I'm an accomplished & professional singer, a world championship athlete, and now am a law student. I feel like I'm just not good enough for anyone, but looking at my credentials....it doesn't make sense. What's the deal?

It seems like the Bible glorifies submissive behavior especially to the ruling government. Does this sheeple mentality apply if the ruling establishment is fundamentally corrupt and ruthless. Should we just lie down and let them have their way and wait for the G-man to intervene? Or should we stand up for our beliefs and our freedom by participating in civil disobedience? It seems like the Israelites/Early Christians were always enslaved and or persecuted. It's not that I condone violence or lawlessness. Just seems like God would want us to solve some of our own problems and assert our right to live free.

I have noticed that certain people who speak to me give me a sort of 'high' feeling. Not of happiness but like the feeling you get taking a drag of a cigarette after a long period of not smoking. The common denominator seems to be that the person is experienced, older, wiser, and intelligent. I've had this feeling around my grandmother, a Ph.D scientist, and others who I generally hold in high esteem.
