My husband and I are moving into our first house that requires us to put down a deposit to turn on the water. I'm not sure though how much that usually is? I'm still trying to work out our budget for the next month and can't do it right with out this.

i really love her... i was completely wasted and obviously you know what that can do to your decision making. i cant tell her cause i know it will break her heart but i cant seem to live with myself right now. will this pain go away over time? what to do?

Last night all of a sudden my throat became very swollen and I was really struggling to breathe. I then became very dizzy and passed out, luckily my friend was there and somehow she managed to wake me up. She put ice on my neck and eventually the swelling went down enough for me to breathe. What could this have been? I don't have any allergies and I didn't eat anythng out of the ordinary.. and I don't have anaphalyxis!?!

I e-mail my U.S. senators often from the mail lists of Planned Parenthood and NOW regarding women's health and reproductive rights bills. The Republican senator sometimes sends response e-mails presumably written by his office minions; the Democratic senator, nothing (which I deem really no worse than the minion letter). In response to a recent e-mail encouraging him to please hurry up and help put a stop to the disastrous idiocy that is the Iraq war, the senator's return letter informed me that he "respectfully disagrees" and kindly explained that "though we seem to often disagree, I hope you will please continue to write to me."

I thought the way democracy works is constituents elect a *representative* who listens *respectfully and silently* to the constituents' opinions and then tries to act on these opinions - because he is *representing* his constituents.

Hi there! I know it may sound unbelievable that I want to have sex this young but I'm on eighth grade, and I'm envious on some of my friends that already have had sex. I really think it may be an incomparable experience that I'm anxious to have, but I'm really scared because I think I don't know enough. My period has no arrived ever yet, and my friends have told me that I should take advantage of that since I have no risk of getting pregnant but I'm not completely sure. Is it true that there is no risk in my situation? Should I do it?

I'm a recent Cal grad and have been tutoring K-12 for the last ten years. I've spent considerable time working with private companies and have been thinking of setting up my own private tutoring business. What are the steps necessary for securing a business name, and setting up the business in general?

I wouldnt want to have a tutoring center per se, but I'd conduct most of my services at their homes, or perhaps in my private home-office.

you will get 500 grand but you must choose one of these to do:

1. live in a submarine at the bottom of the deepest trench for one year, all alone. no contact with outside world. only you and any books/ magazines you bring with you. no internet, no tv, no radio. nothing. just medical supplies and food for a year.

2. get in the ring with a heavyweight UFC fighter. you have to fight him for 3, 5 minute rounds without getting knocked out or without tapping out. in your current physical condition (no time to train for this!)

3. let a surgeon take a knife and stab you 5 times all over your body with a bowie knife. he will do his best to stab you in places that will not cause serious harm. but this will be done in the street. once the 5th stab occurs then he will meet up with you at the hospital and he will try to fix you up.

4. no sex for 4 years.
