Just wondering. I had a friend mod his old VW Bug, and gets waste vegetable oil from the local Long John Silvers, for his car to run on, and I swear the car smells like fish sticks! I think it is a cool concept, keeping emmisions down, but I was wondering what other people think of this. AND, if could CLEAN vegetable oil be ran, why does it have to be USED oil? Thanks in advance for your input.

India is wasting money on fighter planes.Why buying all these costly planes when the threat of terrorists and Naxals are high.More than 50% of Indias area is under the hands of naxals.
The military needs more modern equipments like night vision,Bullet proof jackets.See the photos of US army men with there jackets and advanced rifles,Microphones they are well equipped.Yet they are dying in Iraq bcoz the whole country is aganist them.Such equipment levels for Indian soldiers.They will surely do much better.What good is fighter planes aganist
Naxals.We are well equipped to prevent direct confrontation with Pakistan.China will not attempt any such tactics bcoz the old attitudes have changed.Then why wasting money on costly fighters.

Is anyone adopted? How did you feel when you found out?
The reason I ask is that I gave up my son to a loving family because I was too young to take care of him. Recently I heard a few people saying that adoption is the worst thing a kid could find out or that it was bad for the child. So now I feel slightly insecure about my decision, I know I did the right thing, but will he hate me for it when he grows up?

I want to take a vacation, but I only have the weekend to take it. I want to go somewhere that is less than...I guess an 8 hour drive from Birmingham. I wouldn't mind going to the beach, but I have already been to the Gulf Shores/Orange Beach area, and I want something new. Which means no to Gatlinburg or Atlanta either. Does anyone have any suggestions?

If we work over 4 hours we are entitled to a 10 minute paid tea break, however if we work under 4 hours we are not entitled to any break (we can use the loo, but nothing else) can our boss legally stop us from having a drink of water if we need one? in that 4 hours i quite often will need to have a sip of water possibly 2 times at the most at no more than 30 seconds a time, so is this right?
I know we could sneak a drink after a loo break but why should we have to lie about being thirsty?
Please only informative answers and also web sources if possible as i need to back myself up - i'm sure they cant stop us drinking???

My husband and I went out Sat night and came home to find marks on the hallway wall about 3 1/2 ft up. When I asked the babysitter what happened she said she went to put my 2yr to bed while my 6yr, Cal, was downstairs and when she came back the marks were there. She said that she watched the baby so there was no way he did it. When she left I asked Cal what happened and he told me the babysitter did it. I told him he wouldn't get in trouble, I just wanted to know the truth, but he still said he didn't do it, she did, and started crying. The thing is Cal never lies and he loves this babysitter. He can't keep secrets and doesn't know how to lie. Nor do I really think he would color on the wall. I can't though for the life of me understand why a 18yr would color on the wall either. We used her many many times over the last year and if there was ever a problem/accident, she's told us.
I'm not sure what to do. Any suggestions?
