This is kind of hard to explain without a picture but here goes...

Two poles measuring 3 feet and 6 feet stand vertically in a field. Wires are attached from the top of each pole to the bottom of the other. A third wire is then run vertically from teh meeting of the first two wires to the ground. What is the length of this wire?

It looks like it would be 2.5 feet. But I really have no idea how to figure this out.

I grew up on Long Island am now 25. I have always loved NYC and spent as much time as I could there. Long Island is nice, but there is absolutely nothing to do. My fiance of 4 years who just broke up with me lived there and as long as I dated her, I spent a lot of time there, and I absolutely fell in love with the prospect of living in the city, the only thing is I can't afford it right now. What are the pros and cons of living there, I know I wouldn't need my car anymore.

i feel totally trapped my by school work which i know sounds quite stupid but i have alot of it to do and i cant seem to get round to doing it i keep putting it off and when i do go to do it something else comes up or i cant stay focused why cant i keep on top of it when everyone else can? what can i do cause im getting in alot of trouble with school and my parents and i hate all the pressure its putting me under because i have other family and issues and stuff that is adding to the pressure and i feel like there is absoloutely no way out ive tried everything to get my life in order but i dont know what to do now can anyone help me please

I'm 18 and 5'5 and weigh 98 lbs. I have always been underweight my whole life and never got over 105. I normally eat 2 meals a day lunch and dinner. But I did notice that I was eating less every week. I know that I'm underweight. Others have told me to work out, so I will try that. So how can I well.......eat? more? What do you suggest?

ok i have been asking a lot of questions about my bf. but now i am p!ssed! ok yesterday his friends came over (as a matter of fact they are alwyas over) and they kept talking about girls and how many he has "done it with" and all the girls in my bf's phone and i was steamed! and this morning i told him before he left for work that me and him needa stop acting like children and talk when he got home. i even called him while he was a work and said it again and that his loser friends cant come over until we talk. but he got home 44 min ago and he guess who came. his loser friends! im only 18 & dont plan on getting married 4 another several yr.s but my friend who is in2 the teen sex thing(unfortunately) told me that in order 2b able 2fit a guys "thing" up there, u hafta b able 2fit 3fingers up there, cuz theyre that wide. ive nevr heard ne1 talk about getting "physically ready" 4it tho, only being mentally ready. i gotta ask, if i just wait till im married 4physical readiness 2kik in, will my body just naturally get physically ready 4it, like wen yr pregnant & it prepares 4birth? or will i still hav 2stick my fingers up that slimy hole 2stretch it out? cuz i just loathe the slimy feeling. i cant stand touching myself w/out toilet paper or sumthin. the slimy feeling just really creeps me out. i wouldnt b 1bit surprised if my body just naturally gets physically ready 4it, it only makes sense, but i dont wanna just assume it duz that &then my nite comes &find myself goin thru hellish pain&mayb even gushing a serious amount of blood.
