Check out this article on procrastination...

It may help you out. There are other resouces like it that may help.

I would talk to your parents and the people in your school. If they see that you want to change and get things under control I think they will help you.

Good luck.

Hi - you say that evrybody else seems to cope, mayb the peopl u know seem 2 b coping, but the chances are there are lots of people at your skool that r not coping. It doesnt sound silly that u r not coping, its the same with all different things in life, sometimes things r coming at u frm all angles and the best way, i think, is to write down a list - 1 by 1 go through the list and cross off as u go. U will find that 50% sort theirselves out - 10 % r nt important and fade away too. Usually all of these things seem endless so u dnt do anything, but go 1 at a time and the pressure eases. STP beating yourself up over it all - yr only young, theres plenty of time to get stressed when u have bills - kids - partner - high spec job - whatever, just go at yr own pace and be kind to yrself. Having added family issues doesnt help matters, but put those aside while youre working on your '2 do' list. Good Luck **

These are classic symptoms of depression. My daughter was suffering a few months ago with just such feelings. I sent her to a psychiatrist, and he gave her a mild anti-depressant, and now, though she still has some of those feelings, she can handle it without losing her mind.

The distraction and inability to focus is probably ADD. It is usually very treatable, though you may have to try several meds to find the one that you like.

There is always a way out. The world would not explode if you quit school. The world would not explode if you ignored the pressure. I couldn't keep up with the homework in my classes, so I decided to ignore the deadlines. I'd turn it in as quickly as I could, but I wasn't going to have a nervous breakdown because it was late.

I hear you say you're "trapped" there's no way out, pressure. I don't like this because kids that think this way do stupid permanent things (suicide). Always remember that you could run away to another town or kingdom and start your life all over and no one would know you, and there would be only the pressure of getting a place to stay and food to eat.

OK. Here is your help: You need to see a psychiatrist. You are one pill away from feeling yourself again, I promise. Been there, done that.

its not stupid. schools can be really intense. i say can be because it depends on the school.
i think you should chill out. ignore your parents i know its hard but its your life. do what you can and what you cant you cant and thats it.
and its not true that everyone else can. if youre stressed out at least another 3rd of the class are stressed out too and theyre just not showing. how do you know theyre coping that well anyway? i doubt youve told absolutely everyone how you feel and the same goes for them.
you dont need to be in complete control of your life. that almost never works. keep the things in order that you can but otherwise chill out. most things sort themselves out anyway.
also maybe you should talkt o your parents or friends how you feel you might be surprised by their reactions.

i'm reeli sorry for the situation you're in. But this usually happens somewhere in everyone's life, it just happened to be now for you. I really don't kno what to say that could help you but i'll try. I think you should try to start off fresh and maybe even keep a schedule. if you're doing your schoolwork try to block out everything else in the world and finish your work. after that you can worry about all the other stuff you need to worry about. Try this. I don't kno if i really helped you but i really hope I did. Feel Better.

Schools put a lot of pressure on students nowadays and parents can't be just as tough.

You might want to talk to your school's guidance counselor to see if he/she has any suggestion, or you just might want to accept poorer grades--you won't be in school all your life...

concentrate on your school work and get that out of the way first then you can do your own thing with a clear conscience you will feel much better once you get on top of the situation.

Maybe you should take a Mental Health day or two to get your things in order, and maybe get ahead in school. My mom allows me one or two throughout the year so maybe your mom will do the same if you talk to her!

talk to one of your teachers. try to set aside an hour every day where you can aim to do so much of your homework. attempt what you can. do it sooner rather than later so tha if you are struggling you can ask for help. try not to worry too much about it. the right organisation and you will be fine.

Go somewhere like a libary or as far away from your distraction as possible. You will get your work done eventually.
Whats more important? Your work or your distraction?
Answer that question and you have your answer.
