Anyone surprised by Obama's 'sudden' rise to prominence? I mean, this man was not known by the majority of Americans just a few short months ago. What happened to bring him from someone we barely know, to a leading contender for the highest office in this nation? In just a few months? This is almost unheard of in politics today.

I live in the heart of college football. I live where the ACC meets the SEC. I love college football. I mean love it. I'm a normal productive citizen between mid January and late August, but when college football season rolls around, that's all I care about.

But why do you so called college football fans continue to schedule your weddings during the fall? Why? What's wrong with a beautiful spring or summer wedding?

I have people I barely know invite me to a wedding and get pissed when I say no! Of course I'll go, I'm not a total *** and I do have a heart, and if I don't, my wife will kill me!

I was just hoping someone could explain this or let me know they feel my pain!

I went to my great grandma's funeral a few days ago, and ever since then I have been so scared that someone that I love is gonna die. I don't want to leave home because something could happen while I am gone...am I just being a baby or what? I know injected fish often die (and are put through a lot in any case) so ethically one should not purchase them. What are the views on supporting GM fish? The article does mention the GM fish are usually more sensitive and stay smaller than non-GM, which leads me to conclude they are being harmed in some way. But the article also mentions injected fish and urges readers not to buy them, but it doesn't take that stance on GM fish. I wouldn't shop at a store that had injected fish; should I boycott stores that have GM fish as well?

Our dog just left the vet, with a diagnosis of possible glaucoma. We cant be sure since he was POSSIBLY pepper sprayed friday and the vet says that the pressure reading of 25 could be high due to the 'possible' injury or may be glaucoma.
She says that the normal pressure test is between 11-25...

SO....she wants Gentamicin durafilm drops in his eyes 4 times a day for a week and then recheck.

I'm just wondering if anyone here (maybe a vet) thinks this sounds like the right thing to do, or should I get a second opinion? Any simuliar experiences maybe?

who God lets in heaven? The ones that they hate/don't like might get a spot right next to them in heaven. Is that why God has to remove their earthly memories and grant them the gift of amnesia in heaven. How else would they be able to tolerate people that they said were going to hell?

failed America in numerous ways? Libs are stopping us from winning in Iraq. Kennedy and the libs want to give the illegals amnesty. Libs won't allow the President to secure our borders and on and on. Funny part about all that rhetoric. Six years after nine-eleven and with complete control of government by republicans, nothing was done about any of these issues. Iraq is still a mess, the borders are not secured and the President tried to push the illegal amnesty through the Senate. Isn't it time to take some accountability instead of constantly trying to blame the libs for their own failures?
