My husband has 3 children from a previous marriage. Their mother is now in her 3rd marriage. She married a very wealthy man which is a major contrast from what she came from (rags to riches). Her present husband is a very overbarring, controlling business man that wants his house in tip top shape. She never lays a hand to help because she claims she has a back injury which I don't buy since she plays volleyball and goes swimming in their huge pool.

The problem that has come up is that the oldest child was taking on all the responsibility of making sure the house(huge $350, 000 house) is neat and orderly before the adults came home. If 1 of his younger sisters didn't cooperate than he got in trouble for it. He would have privledges removed, couldn't go out be with friends and so on. He would always get on his sisters to make sure their homework was done, cook dinners and so on. He is only 17 and has had these responsibilities for quite a few years now.

No one explained yesterday how you can take some inorganic elements, add some energy and time, and poof, end up with life. Know why no one gave an answer?.............it can't be done. There's a missing ingredient, information. Without information, you can't get life. And the information has to come from an intelligence.

If someone can explain the emergence of life, and leave God out of the equation, I would like to hear it. And please put it into your own words, without cut and pasting half a book or saying to go to www.blahblahblah.com

I have looked arround the internet, but the prices are increadibly high. I expect that, since those two are very rare on the GC, but they shoud have a reasonable price somewhere. I have found a few cheap sets, but I found them on sites that seem unreliable. Thanks for your help.

I've been with my boyfriend for three years, when we first started going out I was completely in love with him. I pressured him to move in with me after only six months of dating, and now things are fizzling out, he owes me an insane amount of money and refuses to pay for anything, because he blames my forcing him to move in with me for all his financial problems(when I met him he was 27 years old and still living with his parents) He's been calling me really cruel names for awhile and this morning he shoved me really hard. Should I just forget the money and end this? Is it all my fault for pressuring him to move in with me?

Do you believe that it's okay for your god to murder or steal because he's a god and you're not, and that no matter what actions your god engages in, you're going to listen to it and do "as it says" not "as it does?"

Are there any other leaders you find this acceptable in? Do you vote?

How is a god like that worth worshipping? Why bother?


[Please note, this is inspired by a person who said her god was above all moral law. This concept, coupled with the axis mundi/ Kingdom of earth as it is in heaven concept terrifies me. Divine right of kings, anyone?]

I have built and restored many bikes but am looking to build myself a Mini Cooper pre 1985 and fit a rotary RX7 or RX8.
If anyone knows wherther this would be posible with the engen space and would i have to change gearbox and suspention?
We built a V8 Trike for my friend which we used a Jaguar suspension at the back.

Basically, any input would be apreciated as i am still doing research. Many thanks

Why do atheists constantly bait Christians on the Religion & Spirituality site when they are neither religious nor spiritual?

I copied this Christian's question directly out of a responding answer to another question.

It's a fair inquiry, I'd say, and it deservs a fair response.

So my fellow atheists, how do we respond? What are some of our reasons for questioning the validity of god and what complaints do we attach to the practices of christianity and the other god-based religions.

I have seen mixed information, some of which suggests this game will be for the Wii, and some that suggests it won't. I am also curious as to what the game will be like. I've read some really basic previews, but they aren't in-depth. Long story short, this game has the potential to be the one of the best (or one of the worst) video games ever made. I urge fans of Power Rangers and Super Sentai to for work towards making this game good, not bad.

I have a US Passport and a round trip ticket, showing a 10 month duration. Do I get a Visa or extension immediately at the Manila airport, or must I go to a Consulate office, before my 21 days is expired? Must I repeatedly get short extensions, or can I just get the 10 months all at once?
