Do you believe that it's okay for your god to murder or steal because he's a god and you're not, and that no matter what actions your god engages in, you're going to listen to it and do "as it says" not "as it does?"

Are there any other leaders you find this acceptable in? Do you vote?

How is a god like that worth worshipping? Why bother?

[Please note, this is inspired by a person who said her god was above all moral law. This concept, coupled with the axis mundi/ Kingdom of earth as it is in heaven concept terrifies me. Divine right of kings, anyone?]

Excuse me, so-called biggest jesus fan, but who on earth do you think you are to accuse me of having read only part of your bible? I've read more translations and original language versions cover to cover than a lot of Christians I know, and, frankly, I happen to severely question the Biblical literacy of the do as I say not as I do god people.

If you can't answer a question without trying to attack the questioner, if someone's questions SO FRIGHTEN YOU that you'd abandon moral decency to respond, why bother responding AT ALL?

This question is NOT addressed to Christians, or Jews, or ANY one type of theist, just to THEISTS, and why you have to try to attack people for trying to understand you is BEYOND ME.

I don't care about any god that hasn't been decent enough to prove their existence but still expects me to believe in them blindly. As for what I do, I do it because I want to and I can.

I do the same things that Jesus did!

John 14:12
I tell you the truth, anyone who has faith in me will do what I have been doing. He will do even greater things than these, because I am going to the Father

Mark 16:15-18
He said to them, "Go into all the world and preach the good news to all creation.

Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved, but whoever does not believe will be condemned.

And these signs will accompany those who believe: In my name they will drive out demons; they will speak in new tongues;

They will pick up snakes with their hands; and when they drink deadly poison, it will not hurt them at all; they will place their hands on sick people, and they will get well

Power = Responsibility. You have power over that for which you are responsible, and you are responsible for that over which you have power. An omnipotent being, therefore, is ultimately responsible for everything. No excuses. This is why people ask why he allows suffering, and this is why he IS the one who sends people to hell.

The deity is never held accountable because it turn out, it's power Christianity worships, not love or goodness. Their deity is right because their deity is powerful. Simple as that.

I see deities as being archetypes and symbols, and frankly I've not got any use for narcisstic sociopathic tantrum deities.

The Hindu and eastern religious thought say
Ahm Brahma Asmi
I am god or Thou art God.
Why worship something outside
when the force is within you?*

God cannot murder, since God has absolute authority over life and death. Murder consists of a mere creature usurping the authority that rightfully belongs to God alone.

God is perfectly within his rights as our creator to call us for judgment of our sins when he desires. As for the stealing I'm not sure what you're talking about. All of God's actions are correct, it could not be otherwise as he's perfect. It's man's sinful nature that believes God to be at fault.
