Absolutely if it was clear that we would not be happy in the long run, then why fall in love now, knowing the pain that will eventually come later?

Broke up with a girl becuz you were falling in love with her?? Erm.. it sounds weird.. Are they together even in the first place? Maybe the guy got some personal problem that he think would implement the girl so he broke up with her? Or maybe some guys after some thoughts think that thet can no longer give her the happiness or some sort?

Yes actually, mainly because of personal commitment issues and a sense of "settling". I'm aggressive in my personal and professional life and being still quite young (i was 23) I wasn't ready to commit.

But then again, I am a single father and she was not my sons mother so that threw in a couple other complications.

But i was most certainly in love with her, but loving her as much as i did, i knew it was the best decision, for her and myself. Sometimes loving someone means you have to do what's best for the long term, not just "stick it out".

thankfully im anonymous, but yeah i have broken up with a girl because of falling in love with her. we didnt really go out (so that probably made the distancing part easier. probably. it definitely didn't feel easy to put it lightly), but we falling for each other so much... i feel terrible now that i think of it, but i didnt think i was good enough for her (i tried to not act like it, but i was really depressed at that time). at that time, i felt she was the most beautiful, sweetest, cutest, etc. girl i have ever met, even now i still can feel some of that left. i felt like i didnt deserve her. i wanted her to choose someone more worthy of her incredible awesomeness. ah, i'm probably rambling. never mind

No but i did it when i wasnt in love. i can understand that love scares the hell out of some and then breaking up is the only thing to do for me those guys are no real men and the women who they broke it of with should be grateful. you deserve a man who loves you completely and if he cant receive love , he also cant give love so dont bother why a guy breaks it of when he is in love ,most likely he isnt in love thatswhy he breaks up..... rather simple but he love is simple if you only let it.
