We recently moved into a house that was built in 1956..anyway..in the main bathroom, the lady that used to live here put up a wallpaper border of grass and flowers that matched her sponged Easter egg colored walls (yes, really..pink, blue, yellow and green)..I am removing the border with Dif but when I put ANY pressure on the wall with the plastic scraper..the latex paint is coming up, but only where the border was. It's going right down to the plaster, so now I'm not sure how to rectify the difference between the painted wall and the plaster. I am being extremely careful not to damage the plaster. Question: Do I sand the wall where the paint meets up to the plaster and then use a primer for both OR do I use some kind of compound over the paint/plaster and THEN sand and THEN prime..WHEW!!! HELP!!! Any and all suggestions are welcome!

Can anybody tell me if Perpetual Motion has ever been achieved? I know under the laws of physics it is impossible BUT I see this law more as a challenge and if proved wrong would be the most amazing discovery in our history.

I have a few ideas on this (no surprise!!) and I dont want to waste time if someone has achieved it. I know an Irish company claim to have!!! But has it ever unofficially been achieved?

In the past, my cousin and I have been super competitive. I have recently decided to try to really find myself, become less competitive and less sneaky-she however has not.

For instance- I will just do things out in the open, but she will always try to hide things. We were all going to an event last week and I noticed that she hid her dress in the kitchen so I would not see it (no other reason to do so). She trys to avoid me knowing what she is doing, but she still keeps in eye on my affairs i.e.- I have recently started working out really hard and watching my weight, and low and behold she is now doing the same thing (no- she was never doing it before or really voiced a concern about her weight). It sounds petty, but it is kind of annoying. If I try talking to her, she will ignore it. Any ideas as to what I should do to deal with her. (we are very close and I would like it to stay that way.)

I have a 2000 Honda Civic EX. Standard 5 speed Transmission. When i get on the highway and shift to 5th gear, i have very low acceleration getting from about 50 to 70-80 mph. How can i improve the acceleration in that region?

I am a teacher; therefore, I am usually off for the summer. However, this summer I worked out of town for three weeks and I have quite a few home improvement projects I need to get into (just purchased 1st home three months ago). The pay at this job is awful, $6.50. However, it is where I buy ALL of my clothes from. The discount is 40% off of everything. I don't even care about the discount anymore. I just want to enjoy my summer and paint/decorate my house. The problem is the manager is sooooo nice! I feel so bad about wanting to quit and don't even know how to go about doing it. Should I quit? just wondering if it is possible to get pregnant a day after your period ends because i had unprotected sex with my husband the day after my period ended and i was thinking back to a few years ago when i fell pregnant with my son and i had my period on the 28th feb and concieved around the 8th of march, my periods are usually 7 days long, would the sperm be alive long enough for me to be pregnant now?

It is my understanding that J.W.'s believe only a certain amount of people get into heaven. It is also my understanding that the amount of people they believe get into heaven is far less than the current amount of J.W.s. Can you please tell me how that part of the religion makes sense?
