I know that 40% discount is fun, but $6.50 an hour is horrible pay. It is not worth it if you have more important things to be doing like you already mentioned. You should also be enjoying the summer. Don't worry about how to do it, just tell her you have had enough, you don't owe anyone anymore than that.

Do you need the money?
If so, don't quit until you've found a replacement. Your home is not going anywhere but it will if you don't have the money for the upkeep.
Some teachers use:

or

It's important to be happy - but even more important to be wise. Calculate what you need to live on until school starts again. If you have what you need - politely give notice 1-2 days or 1-2 weeks depending on the policy.
Otherwise, get up earlier and manage your time wisely to do some work around the house early in the day - go to work - and come home and do a little more.
Congratulations on your new home!

I can understand that you would want your time off. I agree the discount is not the issue here. You will have to decide if quitting is what you want. What you might do though is ask if you could just work 1 or 2 days a week and that would give you more time to enjoy your summer.
Just tell her, you love it there, but are missing your summer. She may be so willing to compromise.
Good luck

You have already answered your own question. You are working for next to nothing, you have a lot of other work that needs to be done and you want to enjoy what is left of your summer vacation. Just explain all of this to your manager. Tell him/her that you very much appreciate the opportunity that you have had to work there and you hope that in the future you will be able to do it again. But right now, your home and your family need your attention. If he/she is as nice as you say, I'm sure they will understand. Good luck to you....and enjoy your summer!

If you can afford to quit, then quit, your manager will understand. Maybe when you go back to shop, your manager will still give you the discount ;) Take the time to enjoy your summer and your new home.

Congrats on being a teacher - a very respectable job.
Just be honest to him/her. Say it is not enough money. Manager's are used to this.
Say that in the future, if they ever need any help, work wise, you will be happy to help out. It is a complete lie but it normally softens the (no way - but thanks).
I don't always believe in 'everyman for himself' but you do need to think about yourself sometimes when it comes to important issues.

it is so annoying, rather once I incredibly have spent it sluggish composing my answer to an open question and then, once I attempt to place up it, i'm getting the message telling me the question has been resolved! specifically situations I placed an exciting question in my watchlist if i don't have the time to respond to it there and then or would desire to accomplish slightly analyze first, in basic terms to discover it incredibly is been resolved once I come again to it. I continuously bypass away my questions open as long as achievable as i discover that the 1st solutions are in many circumstances undesirable and short solutions given fullyyt for the purpose of element-gaming. The incredibly stable solutions come later (specifically situations days later) whilst my contacts have seen them and had of venture to respond to them.

YES you should......go in and say "I quit" People paying 6.50, have that happen all the time, just do it. Personal happiness is worth more then that job.

If you can afford to take the time off and enjoy life, then you should do it. Life is pretty short, so you should make the best of it. Have fun!

I would just come out and tell her exactly what you've said here. Should you quit? Can't answer that question. I would say no if you need the money.
