Currently, I live in a house that has a flat tar & gravel roof, which is laid directly over the tongue & groove cedar that is also the ceiling. Just before we moved in three years ago, the landlord had the roof re-done.

Every year that we have lived here, the roof has leaked when it rains.

I have been trying to convince the landlord that he should add on a vaulted roof, but I understand that this will be more expensive than just adding more tar & gravel, except for the fact that he wouldn't have to re-do it every year.

My husband and I started talking this weekend, and realized that foam is another potential option.

Does anyone know what the relative costs are for all of these roofing options per square foot? I realize that it may differ in my area, but if you know the cost of each within your own geography, could you please share? I'd like to make a proposal to the landlord that has facts to back it up.

I know the obvios answer is, "NO, not if he's straight". If a straight male see a totally hot male...would he get turned on? what if he tries to get turned on?

Can he force himself to get turned on by a another man...even if its not part of him. Or would he never get erected for another male?

I live in a condo, and we have a 100% mortgage. We have to pay mortgage insurance because it is not under 80%. So now our home is worth 170,000 and we paid 140000 for it, and we bought it in february. Is it bad to refinance this early? Please let me know the pros and cons of doing this. Will it poorly affect my credit? Does it cost alot? etc. etc.

I have had this crazy gut feeling lately that my boyfriend is losing interest or is interested in someone else. He used to be so tentative and now we hardly speak. I know he is going through some tough things at the moment so should i just keep giving him space? What I was wondering about anarchy and crushing "the man" and all that is, why would anyone smart enough to assess political choices and determine that the solution to end political problems is a reveloution that would endanger millions of peoples lives? While I admit Bush is not doing a great job either, communism and socialism don't work, just look at China.

Is the problem stupid people and hyper-extreme liberals ( note that liberal isn't a bad thing in moderation- just look it up.) who are too stupid to recognize one bad alternative (communism.) from the slightly imperfect capitalism? Or can you think of a better and plausible solution to these problems besides anarchy. Preferably stopping the patriot act?

Actually, what are these problems about capitalism? Is the unequal distribution of wealth better than the equal distribution of poverty? And how would the threat of constantly getting shot or blown up better than having a bad president?

I just went to change my girl's blades and I've done them on most cars...but I haven't seen this type in real life or on the internet...
It looks like a 5 or 6 pin metal star...No hooks or flaps or anything that looks familiar...

If someone burns a flag in protest, is it more a form of blatant shock and aggression? Or is it a form of expression, letting people know they disagree with the country's present status? And thus be "protected" as a form of expression? I can see both sides and am interested in gaining some other people's opinions. I just bought an electric guitar yesterday, and I tried to tune it with the automatic tuner. The thing is, when I tune a string, the green light flashes (which means that the string is in tune), but when I play the string afterwards like 5 min later, the red light flashes. So I have to tune the string all over again. The same thing keeps happening! What is wrong?

My 9 week old puppy was in the animal hospital two nights ago with severe dehydration. She's back at home now and seems to be completely fine but she has some sort of cough. It sounds like she's wheezing... or has something in her throat....or even like she's dry heaving. What is it? And should I take her back to the vet?

I'm going to be a junior this upcoming school year(19 year old female) with 94 units completed by the end of fall 2007. I currently go to a Cal State that has a crappy rep for journalism(sadly it has no accredation) and I'm minoring in creative writing. I was going to transfer to Michigan State but because I have completed so much already I figured I'd wait until grad school to move out of state. Besides all the info(that was probably useless), I wanted to know what I should do before I graduate to sort of boost my skills and resume for a possible broadcast career in sports journalism. Details would be great. I love sports, but I wouldn't call myself an expert. Internships? Tips? ANYTHING! :) I just feel like I'm going through a 'major' crisis!

My friend has said truck and we broke down on the highway. A clear hose, about the size of a quater in diameter, 4 mm thick or so, busted near the front chassis where it meets the differential. We blew out $40 worth of oil in five miles or so. We were also pulling a 20ft trailer. One mechanic suggested it was an oil cooling line (but the line is not re-enforced?). What is this hose and how can we replace it without forking over money to the Dodge dealership?
