WASHINGTON - Senators urging the passage of a bill that would legalize millions of illegal immigrants hope to revive bipartisan support for the embattled measure and push it to passage by week's end.

"We're optimistic," said Joel Kaplan, Bush's deputy chief of staff. "Our intelligence suggests that there will be the votes there."

Conservative critics who paint the measure as amnesty for lawbreakers, however, said their efforts to stop the legislation were gaining momentum

From the month of June to Septmeber the temperatures in north India are around 40 - 45 degrees centigrade and the humidity levels are about 70 - 85%. Would dehumidifiers be effective in these conditions to ease the humidity levels. Air conditioners are useful, but sometimes all one wants to ease the discomfort is to lower the humidity levels. Air conditioning one or two rooms in the house doesn't really help and it also increases the risk of exposure each time you step outside. If dehumidifiers are suitable in such hot and humid conditions - what make and size would be suitable for a room size 20 feet by 15 feet?

My husband and I have been married for 3 years and almost everyday we try to do something to tell each other" I love you more", well yesterday he really got me. He gave me a shower, washed me, my hair, shaved my legs etc. I told him I would return the favor...he says no go ahead and relax. So i got out and started drying off and he's says "and who loves who more?"...I need some suggestions on how to get him back. I am a stay at home mom with no car to go out and buy anything, so this has to be something done here at home with not purchasing anything! Thanks!

i am in university in my first year , i am doing a degree in human resources management and industrial relations. the only reason i am going to uni is because of my mum wants me to go to uni so that i can get an australian RP ( i come from the UK) , i dont really want to go to uni because i dont see the point and they is no degree that actually interest me.

well the thing is that i want to start my own business and i need to know what people think about this business that i have in mind . well the idea is that i
STEP 1: buy 2 houses and rent them out using a real estate agency hence i would have a constant cash flow coming in .
STEP2: save up the money that i would be getting from renting out the 2 houses
STEP3: buy 2 or 3 more houses and rent them out
STEP 4 ; After about 2 years from the money i would i have saved up ,try and invest /buy a small hotel
i dont really know if all this would work , or i am just fooling myself . and i am 18, is this really realistic?

I am having trouble keeping my lawn mower running. It will start but quickly shuts down after about 2-3 seconds. Although, if I continue to push the fuel primer button it will continue to run. If I keep doing this for about 5 min, the machine seems to warm up and it will run on its' own. It almost seems like it is not getting enough fuel. I have replaced the sparkplug, cleaned the air filter and checked the oil. the next thing I will try is a fresh batch of gas. I think the gas is from last season, but I've never had a problem in the past. It is a 21" Sears push mower with a Briggs & Stratton engine (if that matters).

Has anyone dealt with this in the past? Any ideas would help. Thanks for your time.

I have just purchased a new laptop (Tosh A205 S4639). This operates on Vista Ultimate, which I am finding a real pain. All my Microsoft software runs fine, however most of my engineering software has compatibility problems despite asking to run as though XP. I have two hard drives built in(C: 110 GB and D:149GB) is it possible to install XP on my D Drive? Any advise?

I'm going to attempt to lay a stone patio in my backyard. I've killed the grass and will soon level it with sand.

When laying the patio stones, do I have to make a stone border first? Or can I just start laying them at one end and work my way to the other?
