Do you think the state of Texas is turning into a 3rd world state?

I was reading a report that said that TX is now number 3 behind Miss and Louisiana in terms of poor people. And that TX has the largest gap of rich and poor people in the state. Do you think the illegal mexicans are contributing to the state's decline? Are they eating up our resources?

Also our crime problems in Dallas and Houston--high murders, robberies, thefts make me think this state doesn't have any hope. What do you guys think?

WHAT A SURPRICE...anyone who has an issue with african americans being loud?

my question being deleted will not change the fact that philadelphia is filled with loud mouths...and that it's annoying, disrespectful, and shows no class...and it will not change that living in this city, one has to deal with african americans who are loud...

i guess i'm the one that is creating that stereotype...maybe i'm just making this up and in fact, they are not loud a$$e$...

what is there to take offense of? the fact that one person points it out? it's not fiction?

does pointing out this as a problem make me a racist? the fact that it's everywhere you go in this city, makes me a racist? one is not able to point out one group without being labeled as a racist? what if i only wanted to point out how loud hispanics in philadelphia are and how those people have no class...would that make me a racist as well? even thou i'm hispanic?

I need a basic computer that I can steadily play most of the better games on. Know of any?

The stats I would like to have on my computer are:
Intel Pentium IV Processor 2 Ghz +
512 to 1000MB of System Ram
8x DVD - Rom Drive
ATI x600 series +, ATI Radeon 9500 series +, NVIDIA GeForce FX series or NVIDIA GeForce 6200 series +
That is what I need.
For the Video Card I would like ATI X800 series, NVIDIA GeForce 6800 series, or higher video card.

I need a Computer that i can play the new good RPG's, Strategy games and MMORPG's - any advice about which games i should get with the computer you recommend would be appreciated. Check the minimum required stats for Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion ifyou are unsure about what i need. I would love it if you could find something in the $300 - $400 range. That's what i got to work with.

Why hasnt armageddon happened? Life on earth is so hum-drum I need the excitement?

Its never going to happen regardless of your faith:
1) most likely scenario- the bible is fiction
2) jesus said I will come like a thief in the night so if everyone is sitting around the house waiting up all night its likely the thief wont come in.

What happens when I put a maganet shield in front of a maganet?

I got 2 magnets, north pole of one faces the south pole of another

Now of course in this case the magnetic lines of forces will move from the north to the south.

Now i put a magnet shielding sheet in between these 2 poles....will the magnetic lines of forces meet the 2 poles finding a path away from the shield....i mean will the lines carve a way through this shield....or in other words, will the lines first move away from the shield and then continue into the other pole.
