have this. no arch support often shows up in leg and back pain. and plantar faschiitus (sp) which is pain along the bottoms of the feet caused by inflamation.

there is no 'cure'. the only thing to do is get some good orthodics and avoid shoes with no support (flat sandals with no heel, high heels for women) if you can't afford real orthoodics at least buy some arch supports from dr schol. i know someone who used them and they made a big difference. but professionally made ones are the best. just expensive.

if you had plantar fash. you may have to access physiotherapy to make it go away. in the mean time get some frozen peas or corn and wrap in a towel and rest your feet on it. pf is caused by swelling and the ice helps to settle it down.

also do calf stretches. this helps as well.

occasional pain while walking is an effect. I do not think that there can be any cure as it is not a disease but only a minor discomfort..wearing suitable foot wear can help.

The effects are foot pain, back pain, bunions etc and you need orthotics from a podiatrist.
