Snow on lower channels?
I have an old tv -10 yrs old- and recently in past two weeks, the channels 2-53 can go out, not on a consistent basis but usually twice a day ( In am and pm), it can go out for a few hours and then come back. The higher channels work alright during this whole time. My husband says its new tv buying time and I just want to make sure it isn't a prob with the connection that he is not checking b/c he wants the bigger screen! Any sugg. would be great -thanks!

1. Verbs HAS to agree with their subjects.

2. Never use a preposition to end a sentence with. Winston Churchill, corrected on this error once, responded to the young man who corrected him by saying "Young man, that is the kind of impudence up with which I will not put!

3. And don't start a sentence with a conjunction.

4. It is wrong to ever split an infinitive.

5. Avoid cliches like the plague. (They're old hat.)

6. Also, always avoid annoying alliteration.

7. Be more or less specific.

8. Parenthetical remarks (however relevant) are (usually) unnecessary.

9. Also too, never, ever use repetitive redundancies endlessly over and over again

10. No sentence fragments.

11. Contractions aren't always necessary and shouldn't be used to excess so don’t.

12. Foreign words and phrases are not always apropos.

13. Do not be redundant; do not use more words than necessary; it's highly superfluous and can be excessive

14. All generalizations are bad.

15. Comparisons are as bad as cliches.

16. Don't use no double negatives.

17. Avoid excessive use of ampersands & abbrevs., etc.

18. One-word sentences? Eliminate.

19. Analogies in writing are like feathers on a snake (Unless they are as good as gold).

20. The passive voice is to be ignored.

21. Eliminate commas, that are, not necessary. Parenthetical words, however, should be enclosed in commas.

22. Never use a big word when substituting a diminutive one would suffice.

23. Don’t overuse exclamation points!!!

24. Use words correctly, irregardless of how others use them.

25. Understatement is always the absolute best way to put forth earth-shaking ideas

I had previously posted a question asking what the global outcome would be if less people would die while the birth rate stayed the same (within their respective countries).

If there was for some reason, a situation where nobody traded goods with each other, who would be the ones left standing?
(ie - middle eastern countries have oil/gas, but not much food variety)
Will technology be put on the back burner in exchange for a more agrarian way of life? Would we as a race be able to uphold the civility that we built up to that point, or would we actually degenerate to a world much like that in Mad Max? Would the documents in which each country was built upon still be valid or followed? Would people be torn between their Country and their Motherland...and would they/you decide to stay or go knowing that you may have family there?

I have 3 pcs, one old (1.2 Duron), one mid-level (Athlon 2600+) and one quite good (Athlon 64 3500+). The problem I'm having is with the mid-level one. Unless the media player I am using is the selected window, the mp3's playback is very choppy and inconsistent. It does this no matter which player I use (have tried windows media player, winamp, vlc and jet audio). I am using the same codecs on all 3 machines, and all mp3s play perfectly even on the slow machine. All machines are using onboard sound. Any assistance?

Does it surprise you to know he is a heretic and is going against Islam? How do you feel about the following quote? And if you read the link, how did it make you feel?
