After a recent break-up myself and my former partner are both bitter and hurt. Is there a spell that we may both move on and forgive each other for each others hurt.

Believers only please.

heres a little "spell" you can use. its not a full blown ritual but it works for me.
Spell to let go

Sit in a quite space where no-one will interupt or disturb you. Take a sheet/or several of paper and upon it write all your hurts, anger and feelings that are bothering you. Write also the revenge that you think about inflicting.

Make sure that you write everything. Get it all out and on the paper.

When you have finished - this can take some time - then take the paper and burn it over a fireproof container ie:cauldron or saucepan, then once it is all ash, take the paper outside and bury it in a deep hole in the garden.(or if you prefer away from your house)

As you bury the paper visualise all those emotions and hurts being burried and put to rest.

Ask the Godess to help heal your scars - I say scars because you have now burried your wounds.

This can be a very powerful ritual and has helped many people literally bury the past and get on with life.

heres another one thats a little more detailed:

I call this Goodbye To Negativity...

Focusing on every meaning; deep within yourself(this works better if done in a ceremonial circle. And if done on a waning moon)

Take a little red cord, to represent your anger.
Take a little blue cord, to represent your fear/sadness.
Take a little green cord, to represent your hopes(which are currently crushed).
(You can also use a little yellow if you want to approach all negative thoughts as well)

Take these cords(you can use ribbon as well) and plait them into one long chain. Take one end and twist it to make a permanent loop(this represents the junction you are at-and also works as a fastener). Take the opposite end and make it into the biggest knot you can...so that the loop will hold it in place(this knot is to represent all the knotted up negativeness).
Place on your writing hand's wrist. Fasten....you are binding this braclet to you and making solid all the representations within the braclet.

Next, write a letter to yourself(preferabley on yellow paper-again to represent all the negativeness- use a red pen-this represents that you want the negativeness dead)about everything that is going wrong in your life....get every feeling down there. Make sure you are wearing the braclet on the wrist of the hand that you write with so it can soak up all the negativeness.
When finished, seal in an envelope...which is addressed to the godess(I find approaching the godess in her crone stage works best)or whomever you work with...If you don't work with any.....address it to the sky earth(this depends on what you do with the ashes).

Close your circle......go to bed with the letter under your pillow and the braclet still on your arm.

Next day, open another circle.....take a candle, yellow again....and light it. Cut the braclet off, all the while intoning internally- As I cut you, I cut these feelings from myself. Take the letter, curl it up and wrap the ribbon around it. After that burn it. This will release the feelings from you and bring good luck.

A few extra points....

I often bury/spread the ashes to give the spell an extra oomph.

I wear a pale pink cord/ribbon tied in a bow(around rose quartz if you really wanna push up the power)on my person til the next full moon. Then I remove them and charge the crystal again after cleansing it.

If this seems over-complicated for you....make the braclet, wear it and cut it the next day....its the most important part anyway.

Since you are asking about spells, I'm wondering if you also use tarots. If so, you might consider purchasing 3 very good tarot spell books I've relied on for several years now:

Taro Shadow Work: Using the Dark Symbols to Heal
by Christine Jette

Tarot for Self Discovery
by Nina Lee Braden

Tarot for the Healing Heart: Using Inner Wisdom to Heal Body and Mind

I'm not sure of a spell per se, but I have found that the key to forgiveness is not to forgive the other person but to forgive yourself for allowing negative behavior from the one you loved. To find forgiveness in your heart for your own self and the situation will indeed start your healing process!
