Does it surprise you to know he is a heretic and is going against Islam? How do you feel about the following quote? And if you read the link, how did it make you feel?

"Certainly, neither bin Laden nor his principal associate, Ayman al-Zawahiri, are graduates of Islamic universities or seminaries. And so their proclamations ignore 14 centuries of Muslim scholarship, and instead take the form of lists of anti-American grievances and of Koranic quotations referring to early Muslim wars against Arab idolators. These are followed by the conclusion that all Americans, civilian and military, are to be wiped off the face of the Earth.

All this amounts to an odd and extreme violation of the normal methods of Islamic scholarship. Had the authors of such fatwas [non-binding legal opinions] followed the norms of their religion, they would have had to acknowledge that no school of traditional Islam allows the targeting of civilians.

An insurrectionist who kills non-combatants is guilty of baghy, "armed transgression", a capital offence in Islamic law. A jihad can be proclaimed only by a properly constituted state; anything else is pure vigilantism."

I certainly don't share any positive feelings about the guy. He's gone against islam in so many ways and can't seem to see the real islam right in front of Him. Allah says in the Quran that He has made them dumb and blind. Instead of being a true example of what a muslim should be like, he has been the opposite. He's given a negative image to islam. Allah is the Final Judge of all.

Islam is all about trying to create and maintain the balance of religion and normal life..when u over do it n start going in the nitty gritties life and opinions can get too confusing creating further confusions..quran very clearl y condemns killing espically those who r unarmed and not in war...sick or too weak to fight..children n women...what bin laden did. is exactly what that guy did in the virginia uni shooting very recently killing students n teachers,..the only difference is that bin laden has followers who firmly believe in his cause..the whole world knows through the documentary about frenheit 9 11 about the friendship the bush family had with the saudis and..the bin ladens were amongst very good friends with teh bush family and they had some business with them as well..i wouldnt have known this had i not seen the documentary ..what i am thinking is..if america truly wanted to get this guy..they would have with the latest technologies n the best intelligence on their side they can get anyone! why has he still not been captured??...or a man living in a cave in a place where there no resourses of any kind and no technology of any type and that man can hardly even walk without a stick is uncatchable....very strange!!!

Whether he fights for jihad or not...whether is according to Islamic rule or not....that he had made use of Islam on the whole. I bet he will be responsible for all the death occurred against his name.
The Americans surely take full advantage of his endeavour and mastermind.
Islam should not be considered as a terrorist faction of a religion.
He had marred our religious concept to non believers.
Is a shame though to see all the Muslim brothers are not united.
Even The Muslim countries in the middle east. What mind have brought to them that each and everyone of them accusing each other.
The American surely will take advantage of selling their guns and weapon while depending on oil from them. How stupid our brothers are.

Bin Laden is a fool who is using the name of Islam as a tool to justify his frustrated behaviour. Nowhere Islam says that you start killing innocent people just because they are following another religion. The interesting thing is that he & his terrorist gang are not only killing non Muslims, they have not even left the Muslims. This self righteous attitude is very dangerous on a global level.

I tend to agree. But it would be nice to see all or most of the Imams come out and even the Ayotollah and PResient of Iran and king of Saudi Arabia come otu and say that publically.

It's their silence or tacet support that bothers a lot of people.

You are either FOR or AGAINST SOMETHING. Sitting on the sidelines makes you GUILTY

You witness a girl being raped in a bar. You are either for it, an rooting for the man or against it and stopping it or you are just sitting there tacetly drinking your beer and watching.

YOU decide who is RIGHT and WRONG in that situation.

As far as I'm concerned, Islam, as a whole, is sitting at a table eating Falafal and seseme cookies and saying nothing as they watch the show progress.

I actually think Bin Laden is small fish compared to what else is going on among the terrorist today....he maybe got it started with his name, power, and money....but its continued pretty much without him except for the odd video tape etc.

But Bin Laden and all those who try to enforce their brand of Islam on to the rest of us muslims and onto the world at large are not practicing any form of Islam taught to us by God in the Quran or preached to us by Prophet Mohammed.

The jihad of ordinary muslims should be to overthrow and stop in its tracks the supposed jihad of extremists.

Bin Laden hated us before Jimmy Carter was President. Remember Iran and the American hostages? The Nation of Islam wants to destroy America. It will succeed if we let those pacifist liberals have their way.
