Snow on lower channels?
I have an old tv -10 yrs old- and recently in past two weeks, the channels 2-53 can go out, not on a consistent basis but usually twice a day ( In am and pm), it can go out for a few hours and then come back. The higher channels work alright during this whole time. My husband says its new tv buying time and I just want to make sure it isn't a prob with the connection that he is not checking b/c he wants the bigger screen! Any sugg. would be great -thanks!

I will start by saying you look cute in the photo.

It may be a case that the channels you refer to have got less powerful transmitters or are further away from you than others are.

During periods of high demand and during peak viewing times transmitters can be tuned to emit a stronger signal.

By doing this they will overpower weaker signals, or equal strength signals but from further away, and gain more viewers who swap channels for the clearer reception.

It could be that the antenna is connected properly, unless you are on cable, then you might need to call the cable company to see if there is a connection problem elsewhere, such as on the pole.
