So I finally had a chance to go out and buy a Pioneer 112D and an external USB enclosure today, but at the counter I realized that I had no idea whether my laptop had an IDE or a SATA capable motherboard. I was told that IDE would work either way, so I decided to purchase it.
Now that I'm home, I just noticed on my "Device Manager" that my Dell Latitude D820 laptop has a "82801 GBM/GHM Serial ATA Storage Controller". Should I return the IDE Pioneer at the External case and purchase the SATA model?
The cashier told me that as far as external DVD writers go, the difference between IDE and SATA writers is negligible. She told me it only makes a real difference when the drive is internal. Is this true?
Your advice? I haven't opened the packaging yet...
Oh, and more generally, how does a Pioneer 112D in an External Case compare with a higher end model, like a PLEXTOR? Are Plextors still cream of the crop?

If we gave all the senator, judges, congressmen, and anyone eles that works for Bush one day to come clean on any possible dirty deeds that they may have committed in their past, without losing their jobs, or having the press cover it, how many people would still stand behind Bush. I'm talking people in high positions, being able to come clean for postitution, drug dealing, drug use, homosexuality they've hidden, child abuse, rape, spousal abuse, murder, you name it, they can all come out and tell their stories, and they wouldn't have it count against them. but for one day only!

Iam happy one minute then sad the next minute. I dont enjoy doing anything i used to do. Iam always having bad thoughts like suicide. 2 weeks ago i was normal now i just want to feel the way i did before. How do you get rid of thoughts of suicide because sometimes the thoughts are over whelming i would never want to do anything harmfull but it really scares me. I sit around all day doing nothing sometimes i go out for a short while thats it. I have an appointment for a physcologist but not untill the 22nd of may. I really need help i think iam losing my mind. Iam scared that i wont be able to get back to the way i used to be when i could sit around all day watching movies. Anyone have any suggestions in what i should do

I have been doing this publically for about 4 years and have been threatened by FBI and others with unsucessfull prosecution as the punishment. I have told them such threats do not gather my respect and refused to repent of my petitions. I ask the people, where in the US constitution does it say we can petition this thing or that thing but that it is illegal to ask ie petition for this other thing or that other thing?
So when FBI visis me, I petition them outright saying to them, you are my government, I petition you to go assassinate the President and then yourself, ( THEY CANNOT PRESS CHARGES BECAUSE I HAVE NOT BROKEN ANY LAW, UNDERSTAND, PEOPLE) why do you think the looly gops read the President the Riots act? Could it be that so many americans are fed up with him and petitioning like I do for his death and Not Breaking Any Laws in doing so.

because a rebel is person who does the opposite of what everyone else is doing.
lets say everyone is drinking coke. so the rebel is going to be like "im gonna drink sprite".
but then everyone else switches to sprite so the rebel goes "ok now im gonna drink coke"
its still the "sheep" thing...!

We are using some leftover floor tile (6x6 size) and some new decorative tile (2x2 and 1x1) to tile our backsplash. Can we use the same mortar that we used on the floor? Also, we used a 1/4 inch notched trowel when doing the floor -- should we use a smaller notch for the backsplash (say, a 1/8 inch notched trowel)? Finally, the floor tile and the 1x1 tiles are porcelain. The 2x2 tile is tumbled travertine with quite a few pits on the surface. We don't know if we should fill those pits with grout or not. On one hand -- it will make the tiles easier to clean if they are filled (yes?). On the other, we like the look of the pits and don't know if we want the grout (which is a slightly darker color) filling the pits. Any suggestions?

I am extremely sick of the plan i have right now, it is 200 mins and for this month i have definitely gone over it. i even went over my text message by more than 300. I am considering the 40 dollar plan with either sprint (which i have right now), cingular or verizon but of course they have all got something the other doesn't. for sprint you get 450 mins and unlimited nights and weekends. for cingular you get 450 mins, 5000 nights and weekends and unlimited text messages with rollovers. verizon is just like sprint with 450 mins and unlimited weekend/nights. Please I really need help in deciding. Right now seems like cingular is at lead because of it's unlimited text messaging but am not sure how far 5000 mins can go. Help pls. thanks.
