I need to pin down the brakes on a class 9.

Get yourself a pick-axe handle, that'll do the job just as well.
By the way, class 9 no longer relates to a loose - coupled train because they no longer exist on Network Rail's tracks.

A Hickory ax handle will do just as well, available at most hardware stores.

i can give you my glass hammer or if you go to the bottom draw of my tool box then there is a left handed screw driver.
you can go next door & ask for a long wait?
