I am just curious. I decided to have Jesus tear out the lawn he just laid for me and have it replaced with bark and a really nice stone walkway to my porch. I feel bad making him do it because him, jose, miguel, and paco really did a good job and I am sure they could get much more lucractive work if I stopped picking them up in front of the hardware store.

The hull speed of a boat depends on its length if it's a displacement boat.
Now, a trimaran has three hulls - does that triple the hull speed?
The water line is three times the length, isn't it?
Would love to be told whether this is true, because I want to build a boat, and displacement hulls are first choice for me, because I may go electric powertrain, but I need more speed than a monohull would give me.

"The LORD our God made a covenant with us in Horeb.
The LORD made not this covenant with our fathers, but with us, [even] us, who [are] all of us here alive this day. "

Any Bible scholars able to make sense of this? It would seem to imply that there are in fact two covenants in the old testament, one with Abraham, and one with Moses, the latter being about the law and earthly living. Could this also explain (and I'm just asking) why so many get confused about law vs. grace, in that they think works will get them to heaven, when it was never that way even from the beginning?

I have always wondered why we do not see wild corn and bean plants growing. If these plants were staples of the native american diet before the white settlers, why don't we see the wild versions everywhere.
I never have seen the wild versions of any of our main food crops except wild carrots which don't look much like our carrots.
So were early people genetically engineering crops for hunderds of years? Where are all these wild versions of both European and American crops? Are they extremely different from modern versions? Why? If Mendel discovered the science of genetics in the middle ages had the first native versions of crop plants already disapeared well before that???

Ever since I moved into my apt. in LA, red sticky droplets appear on the bathroom walls. I guess the best way to describe the texture is it looks sap like.

I think it is related to the condensation on the wall after I take a shower, but my walls are all white! (Why are the droplets red?) I can't think of a logical explanation for the phenomenon. The apt (specifically, the bathroom) is really old. The place was built in 1921 and a lot of the paint in my apt is made of lead. (Not counting the parts that have been painted over each time a new tenant has moved in which I guess has been dozens of times). I know for a fact the bathroom walls were repainted a few days prior to me moving in.

Does anybody have any theories on why it's happening (or better yet an actual reason for why it's happening?) Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Sea level rise
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Jump to: navigation, search

Sea level measurements from 23 long tide gauge records in geologically stable environments show a rise of around 8 inches per century (2 mm/year).
Changes in sea level since the end of the last glacial episodeSea level rise is an increase in sea level. Multiple complex factors may influence such changes.

Sea level has risen around 130 metres (400 feet) since the peak of the last ice age about 18,000 years ago. Most of the rise occurred before 6,000 years ago. From 3,000 years ago to the start of the 19th century sea level was almost constant, rising at 0.1 to 0.2 mm/yr.[1] Since 1900 the level has risen at 1 to 2 mm/yr; since 1992 satellite altimetry from TOPEX/Poseidon indicates a rate of rise about 3 mm/yr.[2] The IPCC notes, however, "No significant acceleration in the rate of sea level rise during the 20th century has been detected."[2]
