For example, I was born into a fundamentalist, evangelical Christian denomination. I'm the eldest of 4, and all of us have Bible names. Mine happens to be Timothy James which means "honoring God" "supplanter"

Now I don't honor God at all. I don't actually believe in him. So, if I'm wrong, does he have it in for me more?

A slightly morbid question admittedly. But they say that buying a house, changing jobs, or getting divorced are the most stressful events you get in your life. Yet surely they can't be quite as stressful as finding yourself falling down a 500 foot cliff, hanging by the end of a hangman's noose, or up against the wall of a chinese firing squad.
My question is to those who have survived such a near-death experience, how much worse was it than the more "common" stressful events of life?

I have an old kitchen table that is still in good shape but needs to be refinished. I thought using some of my old sports cards to seal on the top would be fun and neat looking but how would I go about doing that? I know several food places such as Tully's and Bathtub Billy's has done it.

Two tuning forks are held near each other and a beat frequency of 6 Hz is perceived. if one tuning fork has a frequncy of 512 Hz, what frequencies are possible for the other?

do i just add or subtract the 6 Hz since it's the beat? or what?...
