who said once "the pavement is hot because the devil in hell turned up the thermostat but God will cool us down with a heavy shower of rain". I am not very religious and life would be much nicer if seen through the eyes of children. Why as adults do we not try to see things more innocently, have we forgotten how?

My friend (dude) just became cool and now he wants to get his nipples pierced. He wants to know if it hurts. He is cool now but still a little girly. He also wants to know what it feels like when someone grabs onto them with their teeth.
Will this piercing help him continue his coolness??

We will be staying in Vegas for 4 nights soon but unfortunately, we left booking accommodation til last minute. Because of this, we will have to spend the Friday & Saturday nights at the Circus Circus (luckily we will have the other two nights at the Luxor) but I would like advice on which room to book there i.e Main Tower, Skyrise, West Tower etc?.... I dont really like the sound of the manor rooms but you never know. If anyone has stayed there that could shed some light... could you please let me know? Thanx in advance.

My Guess is, send some troops to Antarctica, seize it and make it part of the U.S.
I'm pretty sure that would make the us the largest country on earth.
We could establish a penal colony there for prisoners serving manditory sentances for drugs, and child molesters.

i was really enthused about this person's view of the final. (i don't think this the person is a sri lankan supporter, name is "jackane24") he posted this comment on the BBC 606's- "my team of the world cup"

comment by jackane24

I couldn't care less about the 'team of the tournament'. The whole Cricket World Cup has been a shambles from start to finish, it has been farcical, and the ICC or MCB or the AA or whatever they are called should be forced to resign for the whole calamity. First of all, the final is limited to 38 overs. That is pathetic. We're talking about a match to prove who is the best ODI team in the world, and we can't even get a full overs match. Second of all, they have to use that god awful Duckworth Lewis rubbish. Third of all, Sri Lanka did not know for a full over what they were chasing. They did not even know what score they had to get. Does this sound like an organised and legimate tournament to anyone?

I have been told by my vet that spaying and neutoring my pets is a good idea but I am a bit afraid to. My male Min Pin has a very lively, spunky personality that I would hate to lose and my female Maltese has a very calm and peaceful nature. I would hate to lose those qualities. They are both great with other dogs, cats, children etc. and have amazingly perfect tempraments. My Min Pin hasn't been marking territory, humping etc. since he was 9 months old. He was housebroken at 11 months and my Maltese doesn't have any un-wanted problems. She was housebroken by 5 months of age so I am afraid they may start doing things in the house. What are the pros AND cons of spaying and neutoring my dogs? I need proper answers as anybody who has faced this deiema will understand my worries of fixing my dogs!
Regards,
Kianna.

I am specifically talking about India and Indian magazines but the question is open for all opinions and answers.

Can we blame ourselves for our poor taste in literature or, is it just that a magazine has a certain limit beyond which it is either afraid to or is unable to step out and explore.

Great children's Hindi magazines like Champak, Nandan, Balhans, ChandaMama which used to be published in multiple Indian languages and were loaded with great infotainment and literature when I was a kid. (I am only 19 myself) are still surviving in the market but a GREAT deal of compromise in terms of quality is apparent there. Same is the case with Kadambari, DharmYug (out of print) and other grown-ups' magazines.

What leads to the ultimate downhill fall of a good magazine?

(I am categorizing this question under "Books and Authors" and not "Entertainment> Magazines" because my concern is inclined specially towards literary magazines.)

the public school system funded by taxpayers sent students on some bs trip crying about how minorities are the victims.

this story wasnt found on cnn, presumably because cnn worships minorities.
but why is the government paying for students to see this biased material? it only teaches minorities to cry whenever something good happens to a white person and whenever something doesnt go the way a minority wants it to. cry cry cry... everyone is such a victim these days...

I don't believe so because as years go by, you make mistakes and learn hopefully from them and work on yourself and hopefully "change for better". We can not blame always what has happened in the past , can we?

I bought a dress and shoes for three events coming up - two Bar Mitzvahs and my 8th Grade Graduation. It's a white eyelet dress with off-the-shoulder sleeves and the shoes are red patent leather wedges, about 2 1/2 inches high. I plan on doing my makeup bold, with white glittery eyeshadow, red lips, and loooong eyelashes.

For my accessories, I'm thinking of getting a bold white necklace, with a white patent leather clutch. I would do my nails red to match my shoes and lips, and my toes in a French pedicure. Would this look good? What other accessories should I be wearing?
