1) in the beggining when they were just kids and jimmy and i think his name was sean went to tell their parents tht someone took david away, one of the adults looked like kevin bacon in makeup as an older guy i was woundering was tht him?
2)why did david keep lying about his hand why didnt he just tell the truth to his wife so tht she wouldnt suspect him

No, the older guys were played by different actors.
He had hurt his hand when HE had committed murder, no matter what that would have been a heavy burden to place on your spouse

I don't know about the first question.
I felt that David should have atleast said something. But I guess he did not have that kind of relationship with his wife.
