At 5ft 5in and 77 kilos, yes, you could do with losing a few kilos - don't go overboard though! At 167cms (which is 5ft 6ins, by the way) and 75 kilos I am still considered overweight by some measurements, like the BMI.

Watch what you eat and get some regular daily exercise.

Don't worry you are not obese! that's the important thing.
77kgs at 167 cm is just some love handles or just a little extra around the hips.

A good goal for you would be 70 kgs. Every morning try waking up slightly earlier so that you can do some exercises for about 30 to 40 minutes. Remember don't eat anything before exercise that way you burn fat faster.
After exercise drink lots of water to clean out your system and see that you go to the toilet in the morning before you start off for work. Cleaning your system early in the morning helps rid of poisons.

If all that is tough for you then here are some pointers to help reduce weight gradually:
1. Stop drinking soft drinks (If you do drink)
2. Stop drinking alcohol in any form (If you do drink)
3. Change to Skim milk
4. Acidic fruit e.g. pineapples, kiwis, oranges, etc. should be part of your diet. (they help digestion and increase metabolism)
5. DO NOT sleep immediately after eating, wait 40 minutes after eating before taking a nap or sleeping.
6. Stop eating processed cheese (If you do eat)
7. If you can start eating spicy food. (start with small stuff) this will greatly increase your vitamin C levels, increase metabolism and clean out your bowels.

I'm sure you can look great in a few weeks time. Don't worry a few weeks is not that long. Once you have a schedule and get into the habit then time will just fly.

Good Luck

Yes, you are a little overweight. But be careful! Don't do any crazy diet that will only result in gaining back more weight. You should lose 5-7 kilos in about 3 months at least. Stop eating white bread, fried foods, pizza, fast food and sweets. Cut down the quantity you are eaating, and start a little daily exercise, like jogging or walking fast for 10 minutes every day (check that you have no heart problem first) and do some callanetics or pilates for 20 minutes. It will make you feel better too! I am in this process right now and I am feeling much better than before!

I lost 105 pounds in 6 months. Here is how I did it.
1. Every morning get up and walk for 45 minutes. You can start with less time, but you want to get up to 45 minutes, and it must be fast walk. You want your heart rate to go up. It must be in the morning, it kick starts your metabolism.
2. I cut out Red Meat, and fatty foods. Boneless skinnless chicken breast, baked, or grilled, rice and vegetables (steamed).
3. Eat half. Just eat half of what you normally eat. Put 1/2 on your plate, and put the rest away. Cook less. When you go to fast food, get salads only. Or grilled chicken. No fries, only diet soda. Or water.

It will work, once you get into a routine, you will get hooked on the results, and you will keep the routine. It has been over a year for me.

Also start counting your calories. Write them down. You would be amazed as to how much more aware you are of your caloric intake, if you actually write it down. We recently discovered a site that offers a great program that counts calories, as well as keeps track of everything. It allows multiple users, so everyone in the family can keep track. They offer a free 7 day trial, and so far I am very impressed with the product. Try the 7 days and see. It allows you to add the exercise that you do during the day, which increases the amount of calories you can take in. Very Cool!!

Stay motivated, and get up and walk every day. I seriously lost all my weight starting off my day on my walk.

Good LUCK!
