By using the process of elimination, it came down to only one Church which was the one the Jesus founded 2,000 years ago, the Catholic Church.

Before deciding on Christianity, I had also tried other religions but none gave me the peace that I only found in the Catholic Church.

Here is my question for atheists:
Have you ever just gone into a Catholic cathedral in the middle of a week when there are only a few people in there and just sat there for a while?

I did this before I had made up my mind about becoming a Christian. But when I was sitting in there, I could feel God's peace calling me. I can't describe it because it was a personal experience. That was what convinced me that the Catholic Church was my true home.

It is getting to the point where it is too expensive to drive to and from work because of gas. In my area, prices are around $3.30/gallon and going up every day.

How expensive is it going to get before everyday people start to seek alternative fuel?

What do you think about gas prices, the current green revolution, Al Gore, etc..

Just wondering :o)

I heard many or most salons juse use wax.. however I'd also want them to use tweezers for a better look on my brows ! I live in the southern Maine area.. does anyone know any place around southern maine or around Norfolk, Va ( since i travel there a lot), where I can get them done ? I'd like them to be mainly cleaned up and shaped.. thanks for any feedback !!!

Instead of them saying to us, "you prayed in Jesus's name and that is offensive to us, so stop it" We could overturn the tables on them like Jesus did on the pharisees and say, "well, you didnt pray, and we find that to be offensive to us" ...yeah, each time we see someone not give thanks or mention Jesus at a commencemnt speech we could say, " hey, you offended us because you didnt mention Jesus' name" and we could go cry to uncle sam lile the athiest have done, until they enanct our beliefs on them. Would it work?

My boyfriend's dad is very abusive to him. He has a past with such abuse. During 4th ofJuly of 2006, he told me that his father was blowing punches at him and abused him for NO REASON at all until he was bleeding. He had to write about that incident in his personal diary for his teacher- teacher told the police about and they talked to his father about the abuse. He didn't deny it and nothing else happened, other than the fact that the cops just told my boyfriend to tell them if anything else happens between him and his father.

And just yesterday after I left his house... My boyfriend told me that his dad was punching him. This morning at school, I saw a red mark on the side of his forehead and a big gash inside his lip. It made me very upset...

What do I do? I'm too scared to tell the police on him / seek help. I've asked my boyfriend too why doesn't he tell? But he said he's too scared of the consequences from his father.

What do I do? Please help.

i mean many gay people in here say "dont stereotype" "not all gays are the same", but if one goes out at night to a trendy disco or a fashionable restaurant one can see that all gay people there look alike, behave in the some way and are looking for the same.
I am gay and open minded to a degree but gay night life is quite sad and gay night life dwellers are quite empty, here and in syberia.
