Very simply because they feel that a woman can't win the presidental election.
The actually fear Barak Obama even though his voting record is very similar to Clinton's. The difference is that he does have a slight edge over Clinton because:
a. He has a more popular support structure rejecting PAC's and major special interests.
b. he is a man.
It really is that simple in the minds of Republican politicians.

Simple ! They don't believe she can win the presidency, whereas Obama or one of the other hopefuls will stand a better chance.
The way the simpleton's in Congress are turning the American people away from the democratic party, I don't believe any of them will stand a fire man's chance in hell !

Because they hate women.
They can call her a shrew, a cow & what have you, and complain about her hairdo, dress and voice without having to confront her political wisdom and brilliant mind.
They can say "America will never elect a woman" a popular fascist talking point.
In other words they can make the election about women VS men instead of wars money taxcuts and political philosophy etc.

That's easy, they see her as unable to win the general election. Thus ensuring the presidency goes to a Republican and the nation will be saved from dangerous, cowardly, Democratic folly of cut and run.

Probably because they believe Americans won't vote for a female president, and figure if she does win the primary, they will win the election.

she's the easiest to beat in the general election. she voted for the war. People are tired of a Clinton in the white house and she puts her foot in her mouth every time she speaks.

come on... it's a win/win for them...
first, they don't think Clinton can win....
BUT, if she does... Rush and other pundits would be doing cartwheels... another Clinton to bash!
I think that more people listened to Rush when he was bashing Clinton than when bush is in office... it's always easiest to pick on those in power making decisions and they know that...
they wouldn't even have to try to find material then...they could do shows blindfolded for at least 4 years...

have you heard her fake southern accent. she always uses it in front of african- american audiences. if a conservative did this, they would be apoligizing for years. and still there career would be over. what a double standard.
