I heard many or most salons juse use wax.. however I'd also want them to use tweezers for a better look on my brows ! I live in the southern Maine area.. does anyone know any place around southern maine or around Norfolk, Va ( since i travel there a lot), where I can get them done ? I'd like them to be mainly cleaned up and shaped.. thanks for any feedback !!!

try threading. it's quick, last longer, and much neater. your brows will thank you. i get mine done every 2 weeks for like $5. i can get my brows and upper lip (OUCH) done for $7.

by the way, threading is a process of taking one end of the thread in your mouth and taking the other 2 ends and meticulously pulling out the hairs by the follicle. painful at first but if you keep going back, you get used to it.

I DONT LIVE IN THAT STATE OR ANYTHING BUT I THINK WAXED IS BETTER CAUSE PLUCKING TAKES TOO LONG WAXING THEY JUST APPLY THE WAX THEN FORM A SHAPE WHEN IT LOOKS GOOD THE PULL IT OFF QUICK THEN IF THERES ANY LOSE HAIRS THEY USE THE TWEEZERS SO GO FOR THE WAX EASIER BETTER LAST LONGER IN MY OPIONION ITS BETTER THANK PLUCKING ONE AT A TIME AND ITS HARDER IF ITS NOT RIGHTLY SHAPED CAUSE U WENT WRONG OR SOMETHING

i am not in maine, but at the salons here in california, they do waxing to remove majority of your hair, then they go in with tweezers to remove the ones they missed.

you can do threading, which is this bizarre funky method, similar to tweezing, you use a string to pull the hair out. I personally hate it. made me break out. i did have one lady who I went to for waxing who said she didn't believe in tweezing, so after done waxing, she threaded the last hairs. total pain. it hurt like crazy. big rug burn on my eyebrows.

Try threading as well!
Once you touch your eyebrows you have to keep on getting them done and it sometimes screws it up!! so be careful!
