Can someone please work through this problem with me:

For a first order reaction the rate R = −k N so the ratio of rates at two different times is given by R(t1)/R(t2) = N(t1)/N(t2).
For nuclear decay the rate is ofen is expressed in units of counts per unit of time.


A chemists determines that a sample of petrified wood is 5.00 X 103 years old. What is the rate of decay, in counts per minute per gram, of carbon-14 in the sample? The decay rate of carbon-14 in wood today is 13.6 counts per minute per gram, and the half life of carbon-14 is 5730 years.

Ok, so my fiancee and I just got a puppy, we bought her for $450.00, she is AKC. The day after we got her the breeder called us and that one of his other puppies just tested positive for Parvo, and that we should get Bella to the vet to get her tested. So we did, and she tested positve for parvo.

We had three choices, either we let the vet treat her, or we take her home and treat her ourselves, or have the breeder treat her. To take her home and treat her it would've costed around $150.00. Before we made our choice we called the breeder and gave him the low-down. He offered to treat her for us and that he would reimburse us the cost, but that he hasn't ever treated a dog for Parvo. The vet said that if we take her home, her chances of living are slim. We let the vet treat her, and the bill was $608.00, now she's fine and healthy again.

What amount (if any) do you think the breeder should pay? I think he should reimburse us the $450.00 that we paid to get her.

i am a lesbian...i'm interested in this woman....but i don't know if she likes me....today she walked past my office ........other people were in there also .....she looked in and looked directly at me....i smiled and she looked away and continued walking......moments later she walked by past the office going in the way she came....this time i didn't look at her but i can see her out the corner of my eye...she looked directly ay me again but by the time i could look up at her....she turned her head quickly and was already passing my door....what does this mean? does she want to tell me something? someone please answer those two questions for me

his means that if the wealthy have more money some will trickle down to the lower classes. I think that their greed will not allow that to happen.

I subscribe to the trickle up theory. If the lower classes have more money it will be spent on goods and services thus making the wealthy wealthier but the lower class lives will be better.

My boyfriend and I have been together for a while now and things were great until he got this new job. Now he works long hours from like 4pm to 2am sometimes and lately my friends think he's been treating me like dirt. He doesn't call most of the time and when he does, he's grouchy and when I say anything about our relationship he freaks and says OMG you're so annoying why do you ask questions you already know the answers to (even though I don't) it's usually like, ok are we moving in together this summer...etc. He used to do nice things for me, but now he doesn't do anything. It seems as though everything I say pisses him off and he's just been a jerk lately. I know he's tired and stuff but i don't know, and when I tell him things that bother me or hurt my feelings he just freaks out and then it just gets worse so finally I asked him if he even wanted to be with me anymore and he said yeah i love you. But he hurts my feelings every day just about, he yells at me and makes me feel bad.

To give you an idea of what I am looking for:
Maybe if you are familiar with "Alice" a book that teaches OOP by manipulating "objects" within a 3D enviornment, says an array is like a "collection of boxes... (I assume that they didnt say LIST of boxes for a list can have an item removed and therefore, the lists order is redone) ...that hold objects". Without pseudocode, or language, could someone explain following their terms of definition, what would a two dimensional look like using the boxes? I assume one item in a box is one dimensional however, but if more than one item was in a box, is that what is considered multidimensional? If two items are in each box, is that two dimensional? Thanks ahead of time for all useful answers.
