Foreplay is basically the "turning each other on" part - before actually having sex.
Role play is basically acting. E.g - dressing up in a nurses outfit and playing the part just to make the sex more interesting.

i guess roleplay can be a form of foreplay. foreplay basically is beating around the bush, before getting in the bush.

most guys wont know what that is ---- (a little joke there) --- its all the acts and words that lead up to sex --- foreplay can last all day or just a few minutes --- the idea is to make the act more enjoyable for both parties
