his means that if the wealthy have more money some will trickle down to the lower classes. I think that their greed will not allow that to happen.

I subscribe to the trickle up theory. If the lower classes have more money it will be spent on goods and services thus making the wealthy wealthier but the lower class lives will be better.

cmdrbnd007 : What kind of jobs are out there now that have been developed in the last 6 years? Minimum wage type jobs where one has to have two or more to live at all. Many are not counted as unemployed any more because they are no longer on the rolls. Makes things look better doesn't it?

The ACTUAL EVENTS of the past decade proves that theory wrong. The rich have gotten much richer and everyone else has gotten much less wealthy.

Business people and economists know that it's small businesses run by average people stepping out on their own that create the most jobs and really keep our economy going - since the tax law changes 20 years ago, small businesses have been discouraged and attacked by every level of our governmental bureaucracy.

The wealthy do not start small businesses.

The US is the richest country in the world by far. The average annual income for an American is $30,000. The avg. annual income for the world is about $2,400. If lower class Americans have any problems with the "trickle down theory" maybe they should try living like most of the rest of the lower classes of the world who don't have any trickle down economies? Why do you think millions of Mexicans & other immigrants are rushing into the US at 4,000 a day? They LOVE the US tickle down economy.

First of all, it certainly isn't Bush's theory ... as in, something he or even his advisors came up with.

Conservative Republicans tend to "believe in" trickle-down economics.

Economic theories can often be all about making the data fit one's assumptions. "Trickle down" is more of a conservative political gospel than it is a scientific theory. There is ample reading on the subject. The Wikipedia article on it is pretty good, for what it is.

First it is Reagan's economic theory not Bush's. Second, it has been proved to work. The employer needs to have the money before he can pay you more, so you can spend more money. Food Stamps and welfare does not count as giving the poor more money. Welfare is the new form of American slavery. As long as you are on welfare you will never make any money. You will remain a slave to the democrats. Those that push the welfare state. The democrats were the ones that started slavery in this nation. They are the ones that went to war to keep slavery, and now they keep the African-Americans in a state of slavery by making them dependent on welfare.

Get a job, beat the system, get out of slavery.

The "trickle down theory" didn't work for Reagan and it won't and hasn't worked for GWB. His budget, and financial gurus have it all wrong - but if the masses accept this theory - they will end up with no job, no money, no credit and a huge tax bill to pay that the rich refuse to pay!

You'd have to have a job for that to work.

Where do you suppose jobs come from?
