I think it was the fact that I was getting older 41 and had always kept my wealth secret and then one day I decided to enjoy it as the last 41 years had gone so quickly

I recently had the mobo in my desktop go up, and I am now considering a laptop as a replacement. Ideally, I'd like to get rid of my desktop altogether.

I mostly use what you could call the normal stuff on a PC-- iTunes, Abiword, Nero etc. Not a lot of video games, and the ones I play are fairly old (and ran fine on my GeForce 4 MX 440).

My major concern is that I also do some video editing/ripping, mostly with Handbrake.

Even for my desktop (3.06 P4, 1GB RAM) this was a pretty heavy load. My CPU usage would float around the high 90's. The laptop I'm considering will have a better processor of course (either Core 2 Duo, or Turion 64 X2), and at least 1GB of RAM, but it overheating is my main concern. I have never owned a laptop so I'm wondering ih can stand up to this kind of abuse.

Do you guys think I should go for it, or should I just replace my old desktop mobo (and slightly upgrade the processor and RAM) and keep it moving?

Suggestions? Past experience?

Hi....this is a two part question...

l. I have six Leyland cypress trees about 5'...I put them in the ground 2 years ago....one tree got a brown limb, on the bottom, and, now is losing its color and, it looks as the needles are closing...what should i do?

2. I live in zone 6, and have mostly clay soil...I need to put up a privacy hedge in front of my house on the easement..I was thinking forsynthia, as, in the winter, if the plows come along...and, push snow on the forsynthias, that, it really will not matter, as they grow quickly...my friends advised aborvite or leyland cypress...what is your thinking on this...

This past Sunday I had my baby shower. I want to get something small and kind of inexpensive to give to the three people who put on the shower for me. All three of them (my mother, my mother-in-law, and my sister-in-law) spent a lot of money to put it on so it's the least I could do. I dont want just a card though. Anyone have any good ideas for a small, inexpensive thank you gift I could give to each of them?

We have two indoor cats - 6 years old.
At night (after we fall asleep of course) our cats will start screaming and attacking each other. Last night when it woke me up, I ran out to the kitchen and there was a cat outside looking in. My two had their fur standing up on end, tails puffed out, and they were growling at each other. They will actually start fighting each other and we will have to break it up. This is the second spring in a row that this has happened, so I know that it has something to do with spring - any other time of the year they do not do this. And I need to point out that ordinarily my cats do not ever fight each other. They are best friends that sleep together and play together (litter mates).
So my question is...to prevent my cats from killing each other in the spring, what should I do? I've read about spraying citrus outside to keep the strays away - does this work?? Please help.
