This past Sunday I had my baby shower. I want to get something small and kind of inexpensive to give to the three people who put on the shower for me. All three of them (my mother, my mother-in-law, and my sister-in-law) spent a lot of money to put it on so it's the least I could do. I dont want just a card though. Anyone have any good ideas for a small, inexpensive thank you gift I could give to each of them?

What did you do to thank the people who gave you your baby shower?

A lot of co-workers I've asked also suggested flowers. I am so not a flower person though. What kind of flowers would be a good pick? I know my sister-in-law and mother-in-law are into planting them outside. Is there something I could get them that would come up again and again year after year?

Ok....here's an idea that is kind of like flowers but a little different. Get each of them a little sapling (tree) to plant in honor of the birth of your child. Make sure to ask for guidance at the nursery.....have someone who works there help you select one that would be appropriate for your climate and each of their yards!!

That's my seven cents!!

What about a gift certificate to a local nursery or a Home Depot/Lowe's, so they could get themselves something to plant in their gardens? There are a million different varieties of perennials, but people's tastes are so individual that you might do better to let them choose their plant on their own.

Home Depot has gift cards that have the Garden Center picture on them (they can still use it for anything in the store). You could say something in the thank-you like, "The thought and effort you put into my shower mean the world to me and I will always remember that day. I thought it would be nice if you had something that will spring up and bloom every year to remind you how grateful I am, and always will be, for your kindness."

I love to garden, and if someone got me a gift certificate to the Garden Center as a thank-you, I would be thrilled! It wouldn't have to be a lot of money at all!

Congratulations on your pregnancy! Enjoy your new baby!

It depends where you live as to what type of plant you could get that comes up year after year. In most parts of the country except for the south/hot/dry areas, a nice hydrangea is very pretty and only gets bigger every year. Go to your local Home depot or garden store and see what they carry. Everything will be specialized to grow in your area. I think a gift like that is nice because it isn't too expensive but as it grows every year it gets better and bigger. I live in New England, but any northernish state a hydrangea is fabulous. And, they aren't hard to care for.

I gave a baby shower in February and the mom to be gave us all items from Sephora. Bubble bath, lip gloss & some sort of perfume.

At a wedding shower I had I gave items from bath and body works. They had a sale going on where you could buy 3 for 15 dollars I think.

There are some wonderful Grandma Baby Books out there so the grandparents can add special photos. For your sister-in-law, a pretty photo frame so she can put the baby's picture in it.

confident, guy or woman enjoying cards could be lots greater beneficial in case you acquire presents from specific human beings. (ex. Karen gave you a blanket, Amy gave you a onesie...) if so, a brilliant fruit basket with one thank you card could be rather cheesy. on the different hand, if the bathe and presents have been given to you out of your co-workers as a team, then one thank you card could probably be ok, in spite of if guy or woman notes could nonetheless be lots greater well mannered.
